Nice, a couple absinthe drinkers! Any of that stuff "real"? I had a bottle I picked up in Canada, but it had reduced levels of thujone (?) - the substance that made it illegal.

I don't drink coffee or soda. Pretty much just water, tea, beer, bourbon, and gin.

Rogue DOES make some great beers. Dead Guy! DOUBLE Bastard!
I was just in the store and saw a lady with a 22 in the checkout line and the label had a photo of Frank Zappa on it! Anyone know who makes this? I'm gonna hafta try it just for the label! FZ rules!

The only REAL absinthe you can get is the Suisse stuff - still only about half the potency of the vintage stuff but way better than the typical 5-10% potency crap the germans/french/czech make these days. The bottle on the left of my pic is a good example of a good, strong modern absinthe. One of the strongest available commercially. You can also find true "homebrews" in switzerland if you know the right folks! Also, real absinthe is not green, or red...it is clear and turns milky white/grey when water is added.

Kubler is really good stuff. I'm kinda partial to Clandestine. I live for "louchebaggery"...

heh 8)

I've been trying to track down the clandestine stuff - that's the clear blue or green bottle, right? More Suisse stuff? Supposedly that's another of the more authentic brews...

I've been on a wheat beer kick as of late. Big Franzinskaner fan. Either that, or a Bombay Sapphire & Tonic.

There is a good belgium beer called Trois Pistoles by unibroue. Comes corked and ferments in the bottle and is about 10% alcohol content.
Also cheap vodka that is really good mixed is Danziger, i got it for 7 a bottle but it goes for 11 on bevmo.com and I prefer or like it just as much as any other vodka other than kettle one. Good to have on deck for friends, oh and it has gold flakes in it like the SuperBad vodka.

I'm kind of of topic but I started it so I guess I can do that. Whatever.

Out of all the responses I was curious to see what Frank's was going to be.
I figured he wouldn't drink alcohol to much due to the perma-high of paint/toxic fumes.

Fuck yeah! As long as it's from the right place. Sadly some places think a 7-11 style slushee w/tapioca is ok. I don't, I'm a snob about it. Luckily where I live, about 30 min. NE of Atlanta, there's a HUGE Asian population so I got a million awesome places to choose from.
