I've been staring at it, trying to decide. I love the sculpt, but Gold Mist just aint my thing and w/TT Evil and the UNdead O.Bat hitting this weekend, well my RxH card is full. Still.......tempting. Something about a shiney black cyclops gorilla.

It only works for me on well-textured guys like Shintosan and Chaos, this dude looks like he's pimping it well too. But again, there's 2 more color-packed releases coming this weekend I need way more, and I gotsta hold back........but it aint easy.

It's still a mystery to me why they look so different from one another in photos. The only one I've seen "in person" is mine. It looks very bronze, much more so than the regular sized gold mist figures. However, in photos, other peoples' appear to be much more black than gold. I don't even see the bronze color at all in some of 'em. I assume that the difference is due to different amounts of the gold/bronze spray being applied. Maybe that's a "duh" or maybe it's due to the photographic circumstances.

they seem to change depending on the lighting

I agree the textured ones look incredible but to me even the less textured ones look great. I'm not big on the Gatchi but in the gold mist it's a beauty IMO

Hell yeah! . . . the angular sculpt detailing on the Gatchigons armour are killer on the Gold Mist version . . . you just can't see that level of detail in most of the online pics.

Already is blowing my mind, it's probably my favorite new sculpt. But again, too many goodies coming up so I gotta pass.

I'd like a Gold Lame version of this dude, it'd be classy.

The Gold Mist colorway of this sculpt reminds me of the tin monkey from that Stephen King story.

nice pick up ben.

these are on red vinyl, which is rad. - maybe it will change to black in future runs (if appicable) like the shinto.

the above evil pics are from a yja auction - I wonder how rare the intense golds are.

Really love this sculpt-

Infact it kind of reminds me of a M.U.S.C.L.E men figure ( I think the Jap name was Kinnikuman)

Yeah, very much. Also those bumps down the front and the flared limbs are a lot like the Bigaroid. The hip section is a lot like Bigaroid's too. I guess we could go on for days about all the toy history influences that seem to inform RxH sculpts.

Are all the gold mist colorways laid on top of red vinyl like the Cyclomania?

Somebody mentioned a little while ago that they thought the Gold Mist releases were boring. I personally love this series, especially the Evil and Head. They are kind of understated - a little flair with the gold spray with the added punch of the red eye. One of my favorites personally.
