I want frankendude
I've seen this design somewhere before... I think from a Dover clip art book (not being a jerk, for reals)... Love him

I've seen it before too. I think it's a very, very old ceremonial figure but I can't remember where. I think it was either Central America or China...

I believe it's modeled after a ceramic figurine from Japan's early history.

Thanks for posting the pics! always great to see what's ahead!
That white item supposedly modeled after a ceramic figure in Japan's early history in some ways also reminds me of something Woodring would envision...either way, I like it!

Those are japanese promotional statues for Contact cold medicine. I do believe they're vintage vinyl. I saw em on YJA, and Jeff Pidgeon has one too.

Not to overstep Koji, but my impression is that the cases for those Microman figures were intended to portray prehistoric alien constructs- I think the other two were the Sphinx and the Easter Island statues. The fourth was for Lady Command, and was the Statue of Liberty (not sure why).
If Marmit is producing the Doogu in vinyl form, that would be incredible! I was wondering if they were just displays.

I have a real Zoomorphic vessel from the period at home, I should post a pic sometime.

Some drug stores in Japan still have this guy on display. I saw one at a Narita drugstore while rushing to catch our plane.
