Such an ugly term. I think they prefer "runner up". Or "non-prize-receiving winner".

Curious..if the 'normal set' had been painted, and the edition of 30 bonus a flesh blank, would people be trippin on that blank or just be 'meh'.

It would be a bloodbath. I'm not big on unpainted so I'd avoid the fray but it would be a frenzy.

really? dunno....i like the painted ones better. I think about the Roto show and i wasn't upset at all that I didn't get that unpainted blue chaos. I much preferred the painted green one....
the flesh blanks will be desecrated and molested into customs.....

It'd be a meh for me. I simply don't think flesh-unpaint shows off sculpts to their best. It may be a remnant of childhood toy associations, but I seem to 'expect' paint on flesh vinyl, so somehow the unpaints look more half-baked than other colors. The only other flesh-unpaint I own IIRC is the Pestar, and that's just from my fondness for the sculpt.
Like Krudler I have rotten luck with draws but I'm hopeful, 60% is pretty good odds. Unfortunately I missed the drawing; by the time I got to the store at 3 or 4 Brian had left, so I'm still waitin' and hopin' for an email too.

I agree..the flesh turns everythging yellowish unless you paint it all silver or white first.
I wish all blanks were either gid or white or that translucent white..those plastics are the most rearding to paint on. IMHO

I have several flesh pieces by different companies. As much as I try to convince myself that they look kinda cool together, I keep coming back to the fact that "flesh" is about the ugliest of all the blank vinyl colors I've seen. Moreover, it's not the greatest for bringing out details that others e.g. black or red can do. Maybe it's just the beige-hate that I developed in the 1970s when too much stuff was made in unattractive earth tones, but I don't think so ... it's just sort of a "blah" color, period.

I have some flesh stuff here and there. they look good next to clear blues and blue-greens--kinda gives off an "ocean and sand" look.

i have always thought of them as butterscotch colour...
if my skin looked like that,,,i would be worried
agreed that this scheme does not do many sculpts justice...

Same here. I thought the flesh label was sort of a loaded term as, well, there are different skin tones in the world.
And like xoconostle, I really can't appreciate them, even though I have some. Just seems beige/bland. There are so many other colours that could have been used that would be more exciting.
