Paying $500+ a few days after a release because you need to have it immediately is what seems childish to me. Especially for an edition of 500-1000...having some patience (which to me is a trait of having some maturity) would probably save you some money. If more people went this route, the HK toy mafia wouldn't have shit.

Here here, K!
The price has already gone down considerably, and will prob. drop a lot more. The fact that around 125-150 pieces have been flipped or are in the process of is disgusting (but also make me think that it's a higher edition size than 500), and we should all hold off. I like the idea of some asshole with 25 of these in his small apartment in Japan worrying that he dropped major coin and now may be stuck with these...it may not happen, but why give them the satisfaction. If most of us wait, it will happen.
I must say though, I am really not digging any of this, and it is having an effect on how I view this piece. There's so many cool toys I can buy with that money, and with far less pain and stress. This thing is not worth the psychic BS that is being called for.
These are toys...and I refuse to play a game like this over something that really isn't that amazing if you think about it. I'll buy it if I can get it for $250 tops...if not, I'll buy 4 or 5 toys I like better...and be a hell of a lot happier. I hope everyone else can hold off too...and then we all benefit across the board, right?

So the same seller has approximately a dozen (and more likely than not, more than that) of them? That's pretty incredible.

...jarrived!!!
some thoughts:
bad stand - feet even look twisted.
helmet looks like cheap thin plastic,
dont like that helmet is closed below bones,
so u cant take it off.
pretty sketchy to get cape around neck.
inner plastic box cut open in front of feet -
dont know whether normal or not???
else figure is very securely protected with a new extra wrapping!
not a fan of capes but this one really looking classy to me
and lays down nicely around figure
as it has a metal ring inside to keep it in form.
finally a very NICE detailed figure like none before.
size seems to be quite right working very well imo.
awesome karma - great power - looking so cool right beside dissecteds!
made my day!
and the black box with all the silver "star wars" logos is pretty cool too.
anyone seeing this licensed figure contradictionary to kaws overall concept?

Prices are holding steady at BIN of $440 to 480. Not alot of true auctions.
Sucks.

as a person with all the kaws shit...this release and the last are where I draw the line. not so much the money, just...im offended at how falsely difficult it is to get the item. I am no longer impressed with the ' got to wait in line for a week in japan' bullshit, or the kawsome crapshoot either.
too many impossible to get easy releases have KILLED it for me. And I do not care about the money, I can buy all I want..it's somehow the made up ness of ..argh. cant explain.
Kaws approach has become sterile. and boring. I still like the figs, sick of the game. and since i ahte ebay etc..I dont want to buy it there. fuck it.

Well said. If you ever get fed up with your older Kaws figures I'll happily buy them from you.

Id sell em today, but my girlfriend is convinced they will keep appreciating in value
and wont let me sell the OG's. the minute she changes her mind BAM gone. Personally I think they have topped out, and each further release will devalue the OG further. Which is fine with me. I gopt em all original price anyways before Kaws became Jesus.
I would keep buying Kaws if he just went ahead and made them all Flipper Price or higher, doubled the run size and made all releases available on his retail site with a scheduled daily release.
everyone wins except HK flippers.

There's a fine line between the 'thrill of the chase' and having to jump through hoops for the latest/greatest new shit . . . when that line becomes blurred I too tend to lose interest.
Luckily it appears to be primarily a Westernised marketing concept!
All the hyping and pre release build up is getting kinda old too . . . whilst I admit I am an impatient fugg and enjoy seeing the forthcoming attractions, i swear all the garbage spouted elsewhere about if, what, when, how stuff is released is starting slowly to melt my brain!
