"just saying....." Thank you. I don't care for most Cronic, I do know that there are quite a few fans here, however. I wanted to pass along the info. for those who cared. Shoot the messenger if you want, but the backlash is pretty funny.

Edit: At least someone's laughing. Yea, I requested half of all of their proceeds. Keep crying, hopefully you can get one. Good luck.

Is this really such a big deal? It's a Ningyoushi release, which I would think you would hear about if you subscribed to their newsletter.

nobody flips Cronic....
All 20 Cronic collectors are here. The good news is that the Ningyoushi run is larger than that....
having said that, if you can't get one today at Ning, i'll sell you mine for $200. lol..
ps, liquid thought it was funny

Yeah the $200 thing is whats so frustrating. That is what will happen.
Banshee I considered it more pointing out that although you don't collect Cronic some SBers that do and are on the newsletter may very well get shut out thanks to you.
Edit: Toybot the "funny" thing was a response to Banshee's earlier post stating he thinks the backlash is "funny". Paying $200 for a Mav isn't a funny thing to me.

A fan is a fan is a fan. As long as someone doesn't purchase it for the sole reason of selling it (which is going to happen WITH ANY TOY), I'm cool with it.

Mork calling Orson. Come in, Orson.
Based on information brought to us by many brave Bothans traveling through the nearest jump gate in a Klingon Bird of Prey, it appears there will be plenty of Ningyoushi Cronic figures to go around, and at a $85 price point, I doubt flippers will go, as the humans say, "apeshit" over them. Personally, I find it interesting that flippers would engage in primate fecalphilia, but who am I to judge?
The humans are a curious race. For them, Internet = Drama, and they are upset by information and facts that upset their regularly scheduled programming. We sense grave repercussions!
But there is great potential, and happiness to be had. As Mindy is fond of saying, "Give a man a donut, and he'll be happy for an hour. Give a man a kaiju figure, and he'll stop bitching for 15 minutes."

Judging by this post, Mr. Andy has been sampling the Cronic of another variety.

Yeah that was relatively painless.
I'm just so tired of $200 plus Mavs which really is the norm once the resellers get them.
The run sizes tend to be tiny so these guys are brutal to get on the secondary market and retail Mavs in the US are almost unheard of.

You will buy more... I guarantee it. When I got my first Cronic Mav (now up to 5) I could not believe how much better it looked in person. The quality of the Cronic figs is up there with the best in JP vinyl. So much detail in the chartcters!
I plan on purchasing more... but the only ones I own are the Mavs... I will try to keep it that way for now.

Actually I'd say this is a pretty rare opportunity to score a Mav in the US at retail. I wouldn't sleep on this one. Relative to other Cronic figures, Mav's are the most infrequently released, given the amount of time it takes Naoki to paint them. All told, there have only been around 20-22 painted versions released in the last 2+ years. The rest are all one color clears or blanks.

my guess is that this is the beginning of a run of very easy to score US Cronic releases

I think you're right, but my guess is they'll mostly be Dorogami's and Dorome's.
