Oh, it was only something like a 5.6 quake... garden variety in these parts. It's always fun to watch the cat freak out though.

Only one fig commited suicide during the quake...and it's the rather appropriate Working Stiff Ghostland figure that took a dive into depths unknown. No really...I can't seem to find him. I'm pretty surprised to come home and see that all my obake figs were still standing.

Hiro, dude, it shook for like 30 seconds or something. I believe I had two different conversations with my roommate before the shaking stopped. LOL
It's always a fun ride when the shaking stops and no one is hurt.

I can't believe I didn't feel it. My goal is to jump while there's a earthquake to see if I can see the ground shake. Yes I know, it's dumb, but I just want to see what birds see for that split second the birds see......

I think it's cause a few of us are kinda numb to earthquakes. I usually won't feel one unless I'm sitting cause then my chair shakes. I really didn't feel Loma Prieta cause I was standing. Kinda funny actually...we were testing structure to support our body weight that day...

If there is a powerful earthquake, you will NOT feel like jumping.
My wife always said she wanted to be in an earthquake. Then, in Seattle, she got her wish and changed her mind.
We lived on the 3rd floor in an old home. Every single vinyl toy fell onto the floor.

I got my first taste of quakes when I lived in LA back in the 80's. Being the quake Fresh Meat that I was I found myself standing outside my apartment building in my tidy whities It wasn't a complete loss tho cause our hawt neighbor was standing next to me in her tiny teddy

I might also add that, during the earthquake, a massive brick wall fell on my car and crashed half of it. I have able to drive home with the car sputtering fluids and spraying smoke.
Funny thing, as I drove passed people, they all kept saying "Are you alright?" and I said "What the hell do you think?".
Oh, and happy Samhain, at midnight.

Happy halloween everyone! Sorry about the quake as well, I hope everyone is safe.
Being on tour and missing Halloween sucks, but we are going to dress up tonight and party it up. Hopefully it'll go over well. Haha

I feel so cheated that I didn't feel the quake, but then, neither did other people in my neighborhood that I spoke to. Quakes can be that way. I now live two blocks away from where I was during the 1989 Loma Prieta quake. Maybe I should be glad I didn't feel this one, because when the '89 one hit, I had just stepped out of the shower, and had to run out of the house into the street dripping wet and nekkid while struggling to get my shorts on, with windows breaking and power lines falling down around me. Anyone who saw me was probably too freaked out by the quake to notice the naked guy.
I didn't dress up for work today (besides wearing a pumpkin colored shirt) but SEVERAL people came to work as Satan LOL.

Halloween kinda sucks except that the Misfits wrote a great song about it only to have Samhain do a better version of it later.

Well...Misfits did 2 versions, than Samhain did the 2nd version later ::adjusts nerd glasses::
I see what you mean though a little, it's become "dress like a slut and get drunk day" aka a normal weekend for many, and all the fun and excitement from childhood has been weeded out, generally.

i have to hide out in my house with the lights dim for the next few hours to avoid the trick or treaters.
i like halloween, but it just would seem creepy for me a single male in early 30s giving out candy to kiddies or is it

If you feel uncomfortable handing out candy to kids in a robe and boxer shorts, put on some socks. voila!!!

I have to hide out in my house (or at least 'my' house until I can move into my apartment) alone with the lights off because my long-term girlfriend of 4.5 years broke up with me a little over a week ago. Pretty much ruined my favorite holiday, among many other things, of course.
