I love the Dorome's. Keep them coming. I need to find the Autumn version, it was just stunning on black.

Little write up I did on the origin of the Doro names (back when I had a bit more free time LOL):

Actually I'd say this is a pretty rare opportunity to score a Mav in the US at retail. I wouldn't sleep on this one. Relative to other Cronic figures, Mav's are the most infrequently released, given the amount of time it takes Naoki to paint them. All told, there have only been around 20-22 painted versions released in the last 2+ years. The rest are all one color clears or blanks.

my guess is that this is the beginning of a run of very easy to score US Cronic releases

This is a very good thing. How much do you think it would cost for Pushead figures if they were not available at the SDCC or if you are not a member of the mailing list? What if they were Japanese only releases?? I like the Cronic stuff but high prices have always kept me away. A string of limiteds done through USA distributors would be awesome. The recent Real Head figures through Toy Tokyo are a prime example that it can work.

Few more than that, I've been told, but not sure of the exact number. This release had essentially zero advertising, so I'm not surprised it's taking a while to sell. Personally, I think it's an excellent paint job. I really like the matte colors combined with the red base.

Wow that's faster than I expected.

It's really cool that a ton of people are getting a chance to own a solid Mav with a nice paint job. Should look great next to the Max Toy X Cronic clear Mav release.

One thing about Mav's is they sure do take up a ton of shelf space!

50-60 on a mav would be considered extraordinarily large run by cronic standard. With all the large releases Stateside, no wonder Cronic has not been as active at Japan toy events these days :D

Got mine today in the mail at work...so glad I work saturdays on a day like this when a cool package arrives...

The matte paint is a lot more tan than in the promo shots...which appeared yellow...so I was a little bummed about that...but it's really an amazing paint scheme...makes sense as a halloween release, but doesn't scream halloween, which I would hate...

so for everyone who got this one, you'll be excited...it's really a cool Mav...and the first one I've had delivered to my workplace...so people here were completely confused by the damn thing...they see all the toys I buy, but this one got some really odd responses...so glad I got this Mav.!

Weird. You are in New York and got it before I did and I'm down here in the San Diego area. I even went to the post office today(which had the last 2 Halloween Undead figures by the way) Hopefully it gets here on Monday or Tuesday!!

^I think shipment flights might be a little more frequent from SF to NYC than SF to SD.
