Closed collection indeed. For the record, I thought Jyarinco Head was gonna go higher. Can't wait to get him.

All I can say is that I continue to appreciate that I don't care for RxH figures all that much.

So logang, a totally non-abrasive or mean spirited question: Are you trying to be a completist?
Slightly on the same note, I don't get why someone would. That sort of mentality takes the fun away from it TO ME, always something new coming out that's stellar anyway.
Let's take the new S7 Undead Organ Bat that's still in stock, it's one of my favorite this year and it's easy as hell to get. Only cost me $65, thanks S7

Nope, not a RxH completist by any means...and I don't think its possible.
There are figures that I doubt will ever be available...due to Pogue's aptly coined "closed collection" designation....in other words, those rare...early...low run figures....just will never be for sale. Don't forget the one-offs!
BTW, one of my favorite releases of this year, if not my favorite was the SDCC Bruised Fighter.

Sorry to say it man but everything you have bought I have seen at least once before on YJA or elsewhere and sold for no where near what you paid. You single handedly set the new market prices.

Also, if not a completist than WHY go crazy and pay so much just to get it NOW?
I mean, I'm not attacking you, seriously, but why? Why 1- Up the market and 2- Pay so much MORE than previously was expected if you don't plan on getting them all? Why not just be patient, if you get GREAT, if not ah well there's always a new figure coming out to kick some ass?
I'm guilty of over paying (I count 3 total) in RxH so I KNOW how it is every now and than, but it seems like with you it's ALL the time now. Again, not an attack or an insult, but.........why?
I mean I know you don't have to answer to any of us, and you shouldn't hell my questions are more food for your thoughts than for you to re-post and answer. Just saying man, maybe chill, maybe you'll save some cash and if you miss them, again always next time.

Which is only right, because he really loves RxH and shouldn't get shit because he makes more money and can buy what he feels. really? In retrospect I looks like I was getting deals when everyone said I was paying to much. I am fairly certain I have never paid more than $300 for a RxH figure that wasn't a proto or paint sample. I won't lie I am happy to see higher prices because I am missing so few figures (5 or 6 according to the KT list). It is somewhat validating to watch your collection appreciate in value. That said I think these prices are nuts but if logang is building a "closed" RxH collection you will probably never see a few of these RxH figures for sale again so maybe he isn't.
Does that 300 go for that back alley Jayrinko clear with gold and red eyes/hand Evil deal you made ??

Although there is no doubt that Logang is more than willing to dump outrageous amounts of money on figures that he wants, I'm not sure this statement is correct. As has been mentioned before, it takes at least two bidders to raise an auctions final sale amount. The only way I can see a single person setting new market prices is by paying insanely high BIN prices, and even then, if no other collectors are willing to follow suit, figures priced with crazy BIN's will simply not sell.
I think the entire RxH market is simply at an all time high. This morning I watched two figures sell for 45000 and 35000 BIN minutes after being posted. Logang may be wacko but he's not alone.

The way I see it is if you truly love RxH and want some of these harder to get figure's and you have tha money to spend on them go for it,I myself can't spend this kind of money on RxH my buget for a figure is $100 max.I'm content with being able to get newer figure's,If I didn't have kids getting ready to go to college I may be throwing some bids around ebay myself, but I'm content with tha newer stuff..Hell I'm already up to 40 fig's and most I have gotton at retail(thanks to some good people)the only fig I spent a hundred bucks on was the bruised chaos..So if you want it and you have it,then get it..
logang buy's these because I truly believe he loves his RxH..

I would agree with you here.
While I think it's insane to pay that much for a figure, it takes two to tango and someone else was interested in the figure as well. I'm sure most of us have also felt the wrath of barbarella at some point, or that HK flipper everyone loves, but I think Lash brings up a good point. These "prices" (a loosely used term here) are being set by a select group of people who have a lot of cash to blow on them.
I saw that elusive pink chaos this morning too. Depressing. I wouldn't pay 35,000 yen for it either. It's not worth it to me.

The entire problem with ebay is it doesn't necessarily take two to tango. Not saying that there was shill bidding in this particular auction, but if I was a seller who shill bid, and knew anything about SB and Real x Head(which the seller of an item like this presumably does), I would know that I could essentially shill bid this item as high as I wanted to and it would still be bought. That's my 2 cents.
Edit: The person behind logang has 42% bidding activity with this particular seller. Certainly iffy if you ask me but who knows.
Edit 2: The second bidder in the huge lot that was up that went for 2600 or something like that had 80% bidding with that seller despite 35 positive feedback.

Someone is bound to do it, I mean the funniest part is that most people here will follow that value whether they agree with it now or not. When it comes time to sell that same piece it will be "well one sold on ebay for a billion dollars so...". The HSP $2k+ pirate comes to mind, I have talked to two people who both use that as their value guide.
It's a hypocritical situation that I have witnessed and dealt with here countless times. Publically, people hate it, privately its the value they demand. What can you do.
I agree it sucks, but when everyone and their mom is into every Chaos release and everything else RxH its only going to get worse. Im not surprised at this at all and expected to see that thing go over $500.

The big problem for this auction is that I made a bid early on and was the highest bidder for 90% of the time, and PM Logang that I want to win this to "complete" the set. He agreed to back off only after I made it clear twice, and he asked me my max. I could not decide at the time but told him that I will be going "full guns" on this. I had the intuition that if I told him my max, he would just say he will pay more... If it was any other member on this board it would have been a more trusting conversation regarding maximum bids (you know what I mean, it's Logang)
About 6 hours before the auction some other bidder outbid me, and I topped up right after that before going to bed... I stayed up to 4am in the morning before the auction ended. I added $100 more thinking no one in their right mind would outbid me. Logang knew full well that was me, but still decided to go against his word.
Not trying to start a fight with him, as that is childish, but just goes to show his dedication to his collecting and disregard for others. I told him that the end price of the last Jyrinko mutant Head on ebay was only $225 or something close to that when he asked my max. He told me how crazy the prices are these days... I wonder why? Bollocks.

Nope, did not know it was you. Seller had the bidder IDs blind. I thought your max was $350. I saw it at $380 and figured you were out of it. If I fucked that up, then PM me.

I sold him that sanagiman. Are you saying I'm shady? Really?
Those are serious accusations....what the fuck?

Besides, those percentages only reflect the last 30 days - only useful to spot obvious shilling, which I have not seen on RxH.
