I believe these are from a TV program called Lincoln - Geinin is the Japanese word for the people you see on TV who are famous because they are on TV.
THe 2 sets are broken down into the red Boke (boh-Kay) set and the blue (tsu-komi) set. Almost all Japanese comedians are of the manzai style with 2 guys. One guy is the idiot (Boke) and the other is the straight man (tsukomi) who smacks the idiot in the head. These are the rules of the art form since before Edo.

I dunno.. look at the blue guy w/ his hair over his eyes and the asian guy w/ helmet and suit, they look like a couple screws are loose. Plus nobody's slapping the wolverene guy in the back of his head. hehe
