To build on Josh's comment, I had a chance to buy a complete collection of a certain toy brand, forty plus figures. In the end, I couldn't pull the trigger cause even though it would have been cheaper in the long run, it felt empty and I dunno, kinda instant weird versus collecting the figures individually over time and slowly building something.

I have also come to learn that sometimes I appreciate some things more from a distance than when I have them in my grasp.

Finally the chase is the thing, for me, and that can hopefully be endless.

not sure if anyone admits it here, but i'm betting people that have tracked down and paid 300 bucks for an older figure would feel shitty when they see the exact same one coming out again for 50

i think its worth noting that this discussion is largely academic, as mori will never read this, or any other discussion from the fans, as he doesnt have a computer or care to.

oh i do keep Mori up to date on the buzzings on the board. The dude truly loves his fans and wants to know what they are saying. but seriously - no re-issues at least for a decade.

Here's where my concern lies with that situation:

-Market value goes down
-People stop buying from S7 and other stores because they can get them cheaper on the open market
-S7 and other stores aren't making money on RxH
-RxH isn't making money
-RxH = Dead

I know that's a bit far fetched...

It's not far fetched. Look at how rumble tumbled after reissuing their harder to find figures. Yeah there were people buying it at first, but it just killed the brand because it was all over the market which equals to dullness. The brand ultimately gets perceived (truth or not) about making the money more than art. If RxH gets to that stage, it'll most probably be downhill from there.
