I simply assumed that one of Hiro's prints was inspired by the recently-discovered Dumbo Octopi ... If they didn't have so many pics of these guys, you'd have to assume these were Disney animatronics. But no, Hiro says he didn't see the book, so I guess it's just another example of serendipitous coincidence.

Incidentally, for those of you who like deep-sea stuff, or even grotesqueries generally (and what are you doin' here otherwise?), I highly recommend a new 2007 photo book by Claire Nouvian called The Deep (the first and last photos below are from it) I thought this book provided such tremendous monsterlicious source material that I actually sent gift copies to three kaiju artists who I thought would like it - Data said Mori loved his.

I still decide on prints. I like the possible shirt design but I usually don't get a chance to buy a shirt because I rarely see a XXL size(i'm 6'2" and about 235 lbs.)
The prints look bad ass and would make a great addition to my collection.

I'm kinda getting over toy-associated prints. I have so many prints that I'll probably never frame and don't really want to. I know it's more expensive, but I really prefer unique/original art to prints. T-shirts, however ... there are never too many cool t-shirts. Plus, if you're wearing a really weird cool kaiju-associated t-shirt in public and someone recognizes the reference, you've got a friend.

I think I might be the only one who wants that print with the Chaos on it. How about a print/shirt combo?? I think someone else has already suggested it but I wanted to put in my 2 cents. This way everyone(hopefully)will be happy!!!

I'm actually slowly thinking of this. Still gotta check my wallet. Maybe there's some extra dough in between the cob webs........

That one is really cool too. Fuck it dude. I think people will be into it and if they complain about buying the set tell them that they have to buy a set to be able to purchase shit off Mori at the show(this should go over just fine)

take preorders so you can get everyone what they want. The profit can go to make a little extra and the rest in your pocket. It would be a shame for one of these to not be made.

So I think the polls going to end tonight. It looks like that the prints are winning, so it may become prints. But I do like the T-Shirts so maybe it'll be avaialable for regular sales later. Or maybe I'm just going to say fuck the poll and do both and sell it as a set for like $60.

the print and shirt combo is the way to go IMO...

though since i won't be able to be at the show, my opinion probably shouldn't hold as much weight.

I think if you count the folks in this thread who in a post 'switched' their vote to the tees, even though not reflected in the numbers, the tees might be ahead. Changing only 2 votes from print to tee makes it a tie right now.

I just want to tell everyone thanks for the comments and support. I'm going to do the set now so everyone can get both. For the guys that lives really far and can't make it, let me see if I can do something about it. Maybe for the show I can make a limited run but after maybe I can make more. Let me talk to the boss before any further info on that.
But again, thank you. I am just hopeing that this show will be a blast and that I hope I can produce some art work that makes everyone happy that they came. Maybe my art will tell you guys about me more........
