He was a SB hand paint, so you had to show up in person or score on the site... I think.

The Black Unknowns were blind bagged Skull Pirates that were either Hand Spray Painted Pirates or Copper Chrome Pirates. Some were sold through one of the Pushead mailing lists while the remainder were sold at the SB store in Japan. They have been long sold out on the retail level.

I have to say I really prefer the Copper Chrome to the HSP. The shine on that puppy is sick!

They all came in different colors. Allot of them look the same but the one you are talking about does exist. It's not really black though more like a dark green with red splattered. I'm getting one tomorrow from a friend who is not really feeling his. AS of now I only have the copper chrome but I'll have the HSP(hand spray paint)as well. The Cooper Chrome was limited to 25 and the HSP limited to 58. The insert that comes also reads Hand Paint limited to 9 and I believe those were sold at the SDCC this year.

You can also visit the pusfan.com page that has all the hand paint variations for the pirate at http://www.pusfan.com/hpsp.htm

I'll definitely post some shots of it and Dave if you are reading this I'll email you some shots too.

Chad...I loved this way of displaying the pirates but unfortunately my cats knocked down a couple of them so I took them out and keep them ina detolf. If I get some shelves I will display them in the cases with the headers later. here's a shot I took before I moved some stuff.
