 just curious
Do all of the RxH collectors know which figures is a RxH line and what is not?
I just talked to Mori and he has asked me to let everyone know this info.
popsoda is not a RxH figure. He designed it and that is all. Popsoda has full control of what to realease.
Ichibanboshi is not a RxH figure but Mori helps design, produce and release the figures.
Everything elase is RxH.
He wantted me to tell everyone this because recently Popsoda has been releasing alot of versions. If many people do not know this, he feels that to alot of people it will look like RxH is releasing too many figures in such a short time.
Just passing a messege. Sorry if you guys all knew this info.

Yeah I knew it but feel they are all "family"
The pop soda line has a different feeling all together. And even though I tried I just cant get into them.
But the ichibanboshi line has that "cousin" feeling and they fit so well with the mutant zone figures it works.
I just think most people collect anything that Mori has either done for himself or has had a hand in. His work is superb and his characters are all so awesome.

It makes me think of the Care Bear Cousins. I assumed so much about Pop Soda.

So the OG 4 were Head, Chaos, Evil, Bigaro
Then a couple of new baddies got added in the form of Akro & Orghan Bat
Ichibanboshi is more RxH than Pop Soda but neither are in the same stream of conciousness . . . where does Gatchigon fit into the RxH family?
Sorry if this has been covered . . . ran a search but didn't come up with much!

Gatchigon and Shinto-san are part of a set called "Lord of the Jyujin," as opposed to the "Mutant Zone" set. We haven't been told much about them thus far.

Thanks man, question answered (it's the Torchwood to Mori's Dr Who!)
Is Jinga-R part of the same line too . . . I presumed not as it came with the traditional RxH header . .

Jinga-R is one of the bad guys on Akro's team. He seemed like he should have been w/Gatchigon, but we got a curve ball.

Even what I know now, I still like Pop Soda for the sculpt and design. I particularly liked what Rich and Kirkland have done as customs for it more than Pop Soda releases. What I don't understand is why the Pop Soda color vinyl seem to be released the same time as the OG ones (if it's not up to Mori)? Is this because of a cost issue?

I was someplace with mangakaben and we were talking about how Pop Soda hasn't released a figure in the colorway of the character in the actual comic. It seems like that would have been the obvious choice for a first release.

I'm not sure what you mean on this one. i'm sorry. But what do you mean by released the same time as the OG ones? The OG RxH were released long time before Popsoda. i might be reading this wrong.

Hi Beyond. I was just wondering if they predetermine what they will release for base vinyl colors and produce them all in a lot. I noticed in a 6 month period that they release the same color vinyl from OG to Pop Soda and Ichibanboshi versions.
For example, RxH released an all red ichibanboshi ninja, then shintosan and popsoda and OG later of with the same red vinyl.
I wonder if they run all these figures out at the same time to save cost but release them at different times later on or is it to make us want to collect the full set of the same colors schemes? It makes sense to have produced so many Pop Soda lately since they go well with previous released sets, that is if one likes them in the first place.
I really don't mind these IMO, I just bought the unpainted black from S7, and the recent red unpainted and painted versions.

ooooo...thats what you ment. For that, I'm not sure how that worked. I'm not sure if they make it at the same factory, but what I think is that they are not made at the same time. The only thing I can think of is that Popsoda may be asking Mori if it's ok to make it the same colors so it goes together. I may have to ask and confirm about this.

Even though Popsoda, and Ichibanboshi aren't RxH figures, I still like them, and I like that Mori had a hand in their awesomeness.
so with the ninja figures in Ichibanboshi, did Mori design anything himself?

LOL I knew it!! Now it's official. I wonder if RXH completists will feel a sense of (I donno the word I'm lookinn for) "freedom" maybe that they don't have to include Popsodas as a must for inclusion in their collections

I think a similar conversation came up a few weeks back, including the Ichibanboshi figures too. How, it seems, since this info hit both Pop Soda dudes (which were really never that hot compared to other RxH) and Ichibanboshi sales here, on S7 and on eBay have seemed to slow down and lose value.
With the Pop Soda stuff it's not a BIG surprise it'd drop, not that it sucks, it's just a different feel. But the Ichibanboshi stuff seems to fit in 100% with the Mori-controled Mutant Zone sets. Weird. Also a little sad. I mean, it shows that some folks were ONLY getting some toys because of WHO made them, not just for liking them.

excellent point!!!! must admit, I found myself questioning if I'm get a popsoda cuz I like it or b/c it's RxH. I do like popsoda, but im not gonna collect every single one of them!

I gave the sculpt a lot of chances. And everytime, I just didn't dig it and tossed it. I kept thinking, maybe it's the vinyl or paint?
But it just didn't do it for me. This was all before we found any info out. I do like the sculpt, just not enough to pay for and own one though, if that makes sense? I
t's kinda fun, but in the end, in hand does nothing for me.

I still think that the Ichi figures fit right in with the RXH guys. I agree with BDR6969 that these prices seem to be declining which is a bummer because you know people were only buying them for what they thought they were instead of a true love for the toy. The Ryusei is still one of my favs and i'll try to get everyone that comes out.

So does this make all the people just bought it cause it had a RxH name on it??? I mean, personally I did like the Popsoda figure, but working at S7 and seeing tons of the versions coming out in person, I kinda lost the feel for it. Hope this makes sense.
This goes with everything for me. I use to love Secret Base when I first worked here, but seeing the same sculpt and just different colorway coming out every month kinda makes me feel tired and not wanting to collect it.
I get what I like and whats cool to me, so to me RxH figures are awesome. And it seems that he knows how to control and manage what to be released next. OF course there was a time where tons of unpainted figures were made, and I did get tired of those and didn't get them. Lately it seems like he's back to his OG coloring style, which is fuckin great.
Anyways, sorry to the guys that bought Popsodas thinking it was a RxH product, but remeber, RxH did design it. I guess you can say Mori is a character designer and toy maker at the same time.
