My girlfriend collects too, but she's in serious save mode right now.
So when I get an accumulated box from Japan, I get a funny look.
I usually say.. "Oh, I got these long ago before i started saving! I've been putting off getting them shipped!"

Hey, even the Jedi lied. They had all that "......From a certain point of view" lingo. If it's good enough for the Jedi, it's good enough for me.

Yeah, that's a good one! I've used that one too--but the thing is it doesn't always work if you get boxes every week.
..wait your Paul Kaiju! why don't you just tell her that? "I'm Paul Kaiju. there is no other...so how tha FUCK am I supposed to-- pause--look away and touch your thumb and index finger across your brow like your collecting yourself. now quietly:...alright, baby--look, I'm Paul motha fuckin' Kaiju, OK? this is what I do."

K-T is making it harder with their orange sticker that says "PLEASE MR. POSTMAN THERE ARE KAIJU SLEEPING INSIDE."

Ha Ha --- the last few packages I've gotten from KT have had that sticker, along with a huge 'SCANNED' stamped on them.

I am single but am frequently at odds with my better half about this issue. Little devil on one shoulder, little angel on the other. The HELL with the angel!

Wait....the angel ISN'T the one egging me on to buy toys? Now I don't know what to think.

It gets really weird when the toys themselves start talking to you. Especially Carol Channing.

The devil reminds me to check K-T at night, and the angel sets my alarm clock if I have early morning auctions. There's only a problem when one of them doesn't do their job.

Hey Geotaro -
is that the same song covered by Alex Chilton on his album Man Called Destruction (on Ardent, no less)?

Apologies to geotaro for jumping in here, but it's not the same song. They're both great though!
The Knickerbockers song was featured on the original classic "Nuggets" collection of regional 1960s "garage punk" and also the expanded box set on the Rhino label.
