nice grammatical fudge. but "my assessment of the latter" and "what you think was implied" are the same in that they are both opinions.
anyway, here is what he said:
"If those folks who killed 3,000 of us are training to act again, and we have actionable intelligence and can take them out, and the (Pakistani) government won't act, then we should act."
I am fully aware that we have to be wary of going here or there with troops, etc.
but if you actually look at what he said, I think the key thing to focus on is the phrase "actionable intelligence." is this the kind of intelligence clinton had when he almost got bin laden, or is this the kind that lead the nation to believe sadam had weapons of mass destruction?

I think someone named Hanging Chad should run for president, that would be so awesome.

I've been looking around, and it seems like the first mention of it was in a speech.
I guess a moderator followed up on the statement in a debate, but not sure what the question was.
by that time, lots of people had already said something about the statement.

Re: I am going to see Obama speak tonight
Oh oh! Let the fun begin. Toy collectors and politics are not a good mix.
Obama might be a good speaker but he's a little lost. McCain is who the country needs right now. I hate war and I wish we would all get along but it ain't going to happen. Conflict is in our blood...has been since we landed on this planet. IMO, Bill Clinton got us into this mess with the terrorists when we left Somalia. We should have stayed and wiped out the whole city. Pulling out empowered the radicals by sending the message that the US can't take casualties. Same with Marine barracks in lebanon 30 years ago. Obama reminds of this when he says we should take the troops out of Iraq. Foolish boy. But what bothers me with the republicans are their links to big business. This is the number one problem in the world. Greedy corporations making a buck off of your fortune or misfortune. But McCain took on Boeing. So my sense is he has backbone. Obama would make a good peacetime president. McCain is the right choice given that we are in a war.
BTW, what color do you think the next Rebel Ink will be?

Bumping this just to point people in another direction... Obviously this is going to be a hot topic in the next couple of days, but please keep all election discussion in the election discussion thread: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=24390(We're gonna break 50 pages, bay-bee!)
