I stay away from political and religious discussions on the intertubes.
I will say that the "Best of Colbert" is going on sale soon...

I agree, but this is such a great slice of video it is worth shilling. The fact that it helps Obama just makes it easier to post.

You could do the same ad, just as effectively, for ANY of the candidates, including Edwards. Just take snippets of what they have said, and juxtapose those snippets with each other, not neccesarily in context.
... and NOBODY is even close to being as stupid as Dubyah.

Yes, if you are only looking at the Republican side.
Some of them don't even believe in evolution.

did you see Giuliani pick up Pat Robertson's endorsement today?
Is that something to be proud of?

ALL OF THEM ARE GROTESQUE. DEMS, REPUBLICANS THE WHOLE LOT OF THEM.
I think the first rule of being president is, if you want to be president, you are not allowed to be.

I actually agree even Obama has lost a little of his shine with me (can I have my money back?). I still plan on voting for him in the primary.
I think the republicans are worse, the anti-science, anti-gay, holy war crap is just scary at this point. The dems always seem to think the solution is to spend other peoples money but at least they don't want to spend it blowing shit up.
The idea of another Bush or Clinton in the white house makes me feel like I am living in an Oligarchy, one of these two family have been in power since i was able to vote. In a Hillery vs Rudy show down I will probably throw my vote away towards some 3rd party candidate.
Geo, you can't actually do this kind of editing to any of the other candidates. Hillery is the only one that will take both sides of the issue in a 30 sec response. I find this skill impressive and worrisome.

If anyone really cares to be informed I encourage all to listen to Tom Hartman on AIR AMERICA radio.

I think there are some pretty good candidates. my personal favorite is obama. too bad he sucks at debates. his skill is speeches.
but he's gotta be the most honest of them all, someone who will change things at least somewhat. it's too bad he's been getting a little meaner. but I guess you can't survive as a politician if you're not. he could do it differently though. he's smart enough.
some of the republicans are a joke, but I can agree with some of them on certain things. huckabee stands out. I like his stance on immigration. um, I like mccain on the issue of torture.
it would be cool to see obama against huckabee. would seem like a cleaner campaign battle, at least compared to anything involving clinton, romney, gulliani, etc.

Obama and Clinton are gonna be easy targets...and they are both FOS anyway ...both token Globalists....Kucinich would be Revolutionary!!!
That said..I fear if Edwards isnt the nominee one of the Republicans is going to win with or without the election Fraud that brought us Bush.
I would be Extremely surprised if the USA would elect a Woman or a Black Man as President in 2008 even without election Fraud.
At least Edwards probably would not "throw" the election away without even a hint or a fight like Gore and Kerry and the whole damn Repubicrat party

I don't know, I agree it might be hard for people to vote for a black president (unfortunately) but don't think it'll be an issue for a woman president. there are and have been plenty of woman leaders around the world. and clinton, though I don't like her, is pretty damn tough, so I don't think people can peg her as a "weak woman."
as far as the republicans, the only person over there who has a remote chance of winning is gulliani. the others are mostly a joke. especially romney. the guys is a morman bushy, and eager to please. he would loose easily.
but who knows, it also depends on who each side chooses as their vice presidential candidate.

How civilised the west is, when a debate arises about whether the country could accept a black or female president. Would half the voters spontaneously combust if they were, black, female and disabled!
How very sad.
