does anyone know how to uncurl a carded figure?
without damaging it? any ideas?
I picked up this totally sweet MOC Lincoln Hunchback. It was a mail away and whoever originally bought it never took it out of the Montgomery Ward cardboard mailer it came in. therefore the figure inside is totally perfect, but the card has spent over 30 years curled up.
anyone?

I've used the method of adding a little moisture and then smoothing with an iron to get creases out of paper. You very lightly dampen it by dabbing with a moist cloth, cover the area with waxed paper, and then gently iron on a no-steam setting. It works really well on paper, but I've never tried it on cardboard.
Maybe experiment with other cardboard first. You want to wet and heat the minimum amount. Be sure not to let the water soak in at all.

I took these pics & was worried all you'd notice was the elves. Those are mine.
