hasheem - ready to drop on 22nd of december
not only better than last years red/green kun christmas release
but also real cool fig imo - cant wait to hold in hands.
dont know why collectors didnt like it when being announced
couple month ago.
seeing it as homage to designer toys, very well chosen as
original tokyo tribe fig - though never sold out -
it got a lot of love & respect from collectors back then.
hoping for a decent yja price isnt all wrong here...

Is this really a KAWS release?
I had to go to urbandictionary.com to look up Poonanie.
1. Poonanie
Poonanie, a slightly gangster word for the female happy patch.
"ow i got hit in my poonanie"
"yo guy i got all up in her poonanie"
Skip-a-roni for me.

You really had to look it up? I use it way too much, my wife even more. I prefer colorful slang when it comes to genitles, makes life more fun.

They should change the saying to "looking for Big Macs" and give them out with Happy Meals at McDonalds.

Jeez - homage or not, I just think it's hideous. And why on Earth is it sporting Green Bay Packers colors?

Horrible toy all around, in my opinion. I'd like to see what this retails for and what it's flipping for on eBay on the same day.

Pose looks kinda Kid Hunter-ish. Which is about as close to a compliment as I can give

Im sure I saw a better version of this-
The eyes were just crosses instead of white circles with crosses on- they looked much better- but then again I am a fussy bastard.
Does this sound familar to anyone else or is it just my imagination?

it was just my imagination- but the colour on the face of the eariler prototype looked better- that orange/ yellow is a bit loud.

2007 Worst Toy Award of the Year
This is almost a certain winner.
The Kaws bank is up there too, but this is just stupid and pathetic.
standard disclamer for the sensitive: just saying...

Well, if one was a fan of Hasheem and of kaws then I guess this would be a good release? My problem is I never got the appeal of Hasheem--like cram as many "gangsta" stereotypes onto one figure as possible? I'm guessing that was sort of the idea/joke?
Also just what was/is Tokyo Tribe anyway? I've seen the various toys over the years but never really bothered to find out what the hell they were about.

A He Man Skelletor set (Twins style) is the next release. He Man and Skelletor both get Xs for eyes and skull and X Bones ears. Probably cartoony hands for at least one (probably He Man).
The Boba Fett release follows, Boba's helmet will have Xs for eyes and then Skull and X Bone ears. Maybe cartoony hands maybe not.
The following release is a real departure as it features Count Chokula with Xs for eyes and Skull and X Bone ears he will not have cartoony hands but will be done in flocked Frankenberry, Booberry, and Fruit Brute Colourways on that release.
Innovative trendsetting stuff in the works here.

there's a lot of hate surrounding this toy, I love it! but I also love old ad vinyls and the original Hasheem, guess it's not for everyone..by the way a Kaws he-man or skeletor would be pretty sick!
