problem with opening new tab in Safari
I use the latest version of Safari on Mac OS X 10.5. I'm guessing there are a number of Mac users here who use Safari? When I open a new tab while browsing through SB, the previous tab also loads the new page (in addition to the new page opened in the new tab.) This is weird. Maybe some tweak could fix this behavior, so I and other Mac Safari users can open threads in new tabs?

Yep, command-clicking a thread link. You on 10.4 or 10.5? My guess is it affects all versions of Safari.
Now THIS is interesting -- if I control-click a link, and choose from the contextual menu to open in a new tab, it DOESN'T do it. WEIRD.

And this is REALLY weird, how did this thread end up here, it was in FAQs a moment ago? Or, maybe I'm losing my shit? Well, more than I had already lost it, I mean.

yeah Safari has been doing that from day one.
also when i log in to my iphone on the forum, my username pushes the whole reading area of the forum to the right of the big banner. i tried to tell s7 but they said there phone works fine. maybe i am still using the 1.0.2. when i log out, the whole reading section below the banner locks back into place.

The new version of Safari sucks ass IMO. I used to be able do simple cut and paste commands between open tabs, now it won't let me for some reason on THIS site. Now whenever I want to post a pic I have to manually type out the link from say photobucket. Ridiculous. I refuse to use Firefox though, way too slow...

that's odd, I use Safari and photobucket and have no problems at all. usually when I put my cursor in the IMG tag field it just automatically copies it and I paste it here.

I commented on this a couple weeks ago in the Compliments and Comments forum:
http://www.skullbrain.org/bb/viewtopic.php?t=16500
See the last post for a detailed description of why this is happening, if you care. Executive summary: the skin being used here has some JavaScript code that lets you click anywhere in the box containing the link, not just on the link. When you cmd-click on the link, this is being activated too.
I could most likely provide code to fix this if there was any indication that it would be accepted.
