Plus if you get a macbook and Serato that will cut down the learning curve by about six months for learning to beat match. Golden.

i'll speak for him when i say.

1. he's (as far as i know) in a happy relationship. haha.
2. he doesn't drink
3. he hates club skanks.

but i'd probably look forward to the stories.

I am also taken, don't drink while I work and hate club skanks, but its really fun to watch really wasted people when you are sober and it does make for good stories plus on average I make about 500 for a few hours of work that is pretty easy to do. Also you can always just do weddings or private events and probably double that money if you don't mind having a playlist and taking requests that is and that eliminates the whole club and skank factor. Well maybe not the skank factor there always seems to be one or two everywhere you go.....

Well if you liked working with people and sports... sports physical therapist.

I been going for 3 months because of a broken ankle and it's actually pretty neat to see the small progress and impact you can have helping someone

Dude, that would be awesome! But I definitely would stay away from you if it starts raining...

Damn! Hadn't thought of that... Well, only one thing to do. Melt down all my kaiju and coat myself in protective, rain-proof vinyl. Hey, I'd be my own custom fig! SWEET! If anyone puts me on their shelf, leave it unlocked at night so I can get out and raid your kitchen for beef jerky and snackerdoodles.

Look at the bright side....at least you get to be on the boards all day and not miss much :D

on a side note....my co-worker is the sound engineer and he has a dead rubber chicken that makes this croaking sound. he's recording it and from where the rest of us sit, it truely give you a more intense image when you say "choking the chicken"...

Skylar: one thing to remember is that you can write, and people have paid you to write. That counts for a lot. Writing is something that will never be done by a machine, or farmed out to a foreign country (at least successfully, I've seen many failures like this).

Granted, stuff like journalism and working in the publishing biz doesn't always pay a bundle, but it's work. And at the top of the pyramid are jobs like technical writing, which is boring and stuffy, but the money is nice and people do get a true sense of satisfaction out of it.

Dig through the classifieds and look for anything writing-oriented, you might be surprised at how much is out there.

currently, I'm a student and professional collector. unfortunately, my overhead is usually more than the profits I take in (which are almost none).

when I'm not at class or work I like to loaf around, eat fast food, and watch movies and read books about UFOs and secret societies.

sometimes I get paid to write reviews of weird horror and cult films, but not often enough if you ask me.

and my name is spelled "skylar" with an "A"

I owned my own comic book shop when I was 19.

trust me, it's not all it's cracked up to be. I got so sick of uber-nerds coming in and having those conversations while I was trying to play Zelda on N64 in peace.

Psht...we all know Lantern would win.

Yeah, I know a guy who owned a comic shop, hated it. He runs a video rental store now and likes it a lot more. The only way he's still in business though with all the internet based rental joints (Netflix etc.) is by carrying bootlegs and weird crap, a lot of VHS traffic too for the uber-indie rock hippsters.

haha yeah i knew some guys i would get annoyed with that would come in constantly.

i dont know... i really like the store wootini in chapel hill. they sell KR style toys mainly, but it's a nice place and they have a sort of art gallery as well. it's in a cool little area in chapel hill and the guy that runs it is awesome.mix that kind of thing with comics and music and underground movies and shit i think it would be awesome

i think if i could have a decent online presence that business could be OK

but i havent taken a business class in my life so i would probably just F everything up at this point
