 Stormy Weather
Props to LASK from NorCal!
I understand that the big storm hasn't really landed in SoCal yet, but it did early this morning here in the Bay Area. I was skeptical about the warnings yesterday, sort of surprised to see that our Department of Public Works was advocating sandbagging for those of us near sea level, but now that the storm is here, I can see why it would have been a good idea. The winds are so violent that I'm amazed that I still have power. Several tall trees in my next door neighbor's back yard are losing their branches. These are huge old trees, probably 150 feet tall. Storm drains already seem to be filling, and this is expected to go on for a week.
Here's hoping that when it lands down south, you all remain safe. Not trying to be an alarmist, but this thing really is looking as powerful as NOAA forecasts said it might be. Bundle up!
