Thanks for all the suggestions and comments. Most of the articles for the next mook (and even the one after) are already in the works but we do a have a few place to fill.
Keep the comments coming we are paying attention.

Several folks mentioned it. Dream Rocket would rock and BxH. With the new "Mook" format I was surprised that the first house of Japanese vinyl BXH was nowhere to be found.

Robert I think you meant marusan and yeah they were in there.
[url=http://super7store.com/store/detail.php?item_id=5808]and just for the record the article in super 7 issue 12 is still a pretty sweet BXH article. Lots of great photos as well. lets not forget pages packed with pus. In fact I basically wore this(and issue 4) out to the point that the pages are falling out of my copy.
oh did I mention we still have a few copies?

The list has been updated so far - thanks for those suggestions and keep 'em coming!
What about a Spectreman feature? I gotta believe there were some vinyl figures made outside of stuff CCP did. I seem to remember Dr. Garo...
How about Kamen Rider?

the list has been updated but Cronic's position at number 11 doesn't really reflect what I seem to reading on this thread...there's be a lot of people expressing an interest in Cronic as their numero uno for the next mook...including me...so, let's see a RxH/SB-style Cronic feature!
also, although there was a Barom-1 article already in S7 mag., I'd love to see a more in depth article not only documenting all the old toys like the mook did for AM5, but also an up to date photo section of all the current Barom-1 demons...
so, to recap:
1. Cronic, Cronic, Cronic...
2. Barom-1/Rainbow

Well in all fairness, Brian never asked for suggestions. It's not as if this is a "vote" or anything. I love some of the suggestions (e.g. Bullmark Hawaii history) but I wouldn't necessarily assume that this thread is going to have any influence at all. Just a thought.

Xoco, did you see what Glen just wrote above? He said the biguns are paying attention...
I'd say that no, we're not voting...but if an overwhelming majority is expressing they want something, it apeared Glen was saying they are at least hearing that out...and that there are still some slots left...
even if it takes until Mook 3...S7 always seemed to want to give everybody what they want...and how else to let them know? gotta make a case for stuff somehow...

I'd like to see the earlier issues concentrate on vintage lines, or long-standing characters. That way it gives more time for the newer companies (Cronic, Exohead, etc) to create a larger body of work to be covered in later editions of the mook.
I'd love to see in-depth back stories on characters, or theory on characters that don't have a known back story. Or differences/inconsistencies within a single character over years/episodes/movies. But I guess this info is character based, not toy based.

No, I clearly missed Pogue's post. Well that's cool! My prior message was only meant in a "don't assume" context, but if the PTB are watching the thread, all the better.
So yeah, more vintage history please. Maybe a revisitation of fight figure history. I also agree that some of the outfits such as M1go, Bearmodel, Kaijuken etc. that don't always get their due credit would be nice to learn more about.
Also Muton's hair. Surely there's a story there!

Cronic & Bemon. They both deserve it, totally cult as far as I'm concerned. BxH hasn't been releasing squat since the S7 magazine article so they don't really need it.
I'd say Exohead as well but he hasn't released enough pieces yet - which is pretty cool that he's not just pumping out more and more colors for the sake of it. There are hundreds of Cronic/Bemons at this point...well enough for a comprehensive article.
I wasn't going to post in this thread since I think it's a bit rude/presumptuous/whatever to make suggestions to artists on how to conduct their art/creative process/etc but after reading Pogue's post I figure S7 are open to our ideas and suggestions. Pretty f'in cool, really!

If my memory is right (and its normally not) the S7 BxH didn't have a pic of all the releases?

Even though I don't collect them I think the Medicom RAH suggestion is great. I can't even image how large that mook would have to be! (Aren't there tons of them?)

The godawful Medicom site has pictures of all of them. There's bloomin' tons.

BXH....from the beginning
CRONIC !!!
Gargamel
Barom-1
Kamen Rider
Id be happy if 1/2 of these were next issue...1/2 the following issue....kinda alot of SuperStars for 1 issue.
Super7 #1 has always been my favorite issue and the 1st Mook was full of my Vintage- fave ASTRO-MU 5 and my New- fave RXH...so Im stoked already.

In terms of how long Cronic has been operating, he's pretty much one of the "old school" neo-pachi-kaiju fellows - started in early 2005. Actually debuted at the same show as Blobpus did (bit of trivia for ya).
I think it's interesting that so many of the top companies started around the same time (though Secret Base and BxH (which is more of an indie-toy company than kaiju company) started a bit earlier).
But I totally agree with a mix of vintage and new companies. I think Mook 1 did a nice job with that.
Personally I think a piece on Anraku (with a nice long article, not just pics) would also be interesting.

I thought of this while looking through the mook on the crapper -- How about an article concerning the trials and tribulations, delays, random information and other bits (total number of photos taken, how much it cost to produce one mook, etc., etc.) that went into creating volume 1? I think that would be a pretty interesting read.

Since this is the right place....
My choices would be:
Exohead
BEMON
Sunguts
Gargamel
Anraku
Bounty Hunter
As for vintage , I have no clue as I don't collect it yet. But I LOVE reading the articles on them the most! So what ever is chosen I'm sure I will love.
As for RxH and SB etc...I think just adding to the catalogue list form, like the back of the book and new pics every other year would be pretty cool. It would keep the catalogue moving and not take up to much space in the books. And maybe 5 years from now dedicated books of just the select companies can be made. Like a best of

To go really hardcore with the ever-growing catalogue idea, those pages could be perforated.
