A>B comparison...
The back is quite different, as are the orbs...and the HC mav is actually silver INSIDE while the S7 Mav is metallic sprayed on the outside...
Also, looks like the S7 is a clear purple base whereas the HC was plain clear (?)...

It reminds me of the colors oil makes in water, awesome. I'm not a big fan of this sculpt, but the colors are amazing.

I'm just amazed at how different the colors are from the Hobby Complex Mav. When I saw the photos from that event, my first thought was, "Oh, a Japan release of the Cronic show Mav." But they really are quite distinct from one another.

Real nice. Love the way these seem to have been conceptualized as a complementing set.
About the base color, I would say they both probably started 100% colorless clear, with light base coats laid down. This is the way Naoki has put out different colored clear figures in the past.
It's a good time to be a Cronic collector.

The only Cronic figure I will ever own......maybe...
I was so amazed at this figure when I got it. I must have stared at it for 10min. The way the colors fade into each other is just top notch.
