Post Bill Gates Last Day at Microsoft - Video
Regardless of what you think of MSFT or Bill Gates, I thought this was pretty funny.....

A video spoof shown during the CES 2008 keynote by Bill Gates about his last full day at Microsoft in July starring himself, Brian Williams, Steve Ballmer, Matthew McConaugheyr, Robbie Bach, Jay-Z, Bono, Steven Spielberg, George Clooney, Jon Stewart, Kevin Turner, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Al Gore, Ray Ozzie and Craig Mundie,

Wow, that was actually pretty funny, and you have to like how the richest guy in the world has a self-deprecating sense of humor. Love or hate him and Microsoft, he will obviously go down in history, and he has spent a TON of time and money on causes such as fighting diseases in the developing world.

Now, let the era of Macintosh commence!

Funny how a guy who was once hated for his business practices may very well win the Nobel Peace Prize in 10 years for his Foundation's efforts in fighting AIDS and malaria. Biggest philanthropist in history (has already given away $13 billion through the William and Melinda Gate Foundation). Not too shabby a legacy.

It takes a certain type of person to laugh at themselves.

I still hate Bono though...

His malaria work is to be applauded. Not much money to be made in that area unless its for rich tourists to visit places like Kenya etc.

Another very cool outcome of the Gates Foundation is Buffet (worth $40 billion), who decided in '06 to give almost all of it away, is directing 5/6 of his donations to the Gates Foundation. Its endowment is going to be worth more than the GDP of more than a few countries!

The other day, when Hilton announced he was also giving almost everything to charity, I kind of chuckled at the total: 1+ billion. Pshaw, right? I guess next to the top 2 heavyweights, everyone else looks like a welterweight. A billionaire welterweight, mind you... 8)

Anyway, say what you like about Americans, they sure do make good philanthropists!
