Post radiohead sorta announce north american tour!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are three essential components to any respectable Pitchfork News tour story-- dates, cities, and venues-- but when your band is called Radiohead, you can get away with announcing them one at a time.

Today Radiohead confirmed that they are indeed coming to North America in the near future, and provided folks with a handy list of just which cities they'll visit. No dates, no venues, just cities. Did yours make the cut? Have a look (arranged alphabetically):

Atlanta
Boston
Charlotte
Chicago
Cleveland
Dallas
Houston
Indianapolis
Los Angeles
Miami
Montreal
New York
Philadelphia
San Diego
San Francisco
Santa Barbara
Seattle
St. Louis
Tampa
Toronto
Vancouver
Washington, DC

Their new albums is fucking fantastic. Way better than HTTT. Hopefully, LA tickets won't sell out in a second. I'll need to get my whole family on ticketmaster.com the day of the on sale just to have a chance to score some tickets.

I saw them in Santa Barbara in 02 I think. One of the best show I have ever seen. I got pit tix 2 nights in a row 'cos i bought them through w.a.s.t.e. The SB Bowl is the best venue I have seen them at. I would suggest going to see them there if that's the Santa Barbara venue. It's very small and the area is nice and cozy. I think it only holds about 5000.

The Santa Barbara Bowl is nice. I saw Smashing Pumpkins there in 2000. Very cozy and free parking.

I haven't really listened to them since Amnesiac, but I was a huge fan for a while. I would definitely go to the Tampa show, depending on ticket prices.

thanks for posting this. I hadn't read pitchfork yet today :)

I'll be at the Boston show(s). I wanted to do LA, but fundage doesn't allow unless they're playing there in August.

there are way too many bands out there, doing far more interesting things with sound...and I don't have to put together a puzzle to go see them.

Radiohead is slightly interesting because they operate within a much larger sphere than most viable bands...but I'd rather go see a show at the knitting factory or some other small venue here in NYC. those are the places i've seen the best shows of my life...

i can't say that seeing/paying for what ends up looking like a flea circus with a loud soundtrack ever appealed to me...

who knows, maybe they'll play 300 ticket standing rooms as a surprise. pay what you want to get in...
