I myself just went through a break up with my girl Joy just one month ago. We both really still love each other and we are also best friends. We knew that we have been at odds for a while but at the same time we decided that to save the friendship we had to stop being with one another. Dude,it's gonna hurt for a while. Hell,it still hurts for me now when we hangout as friends and go to a movie or have dinner it's weird not to hold hands or not awaking to see her face every morning but you got to do it and you got to be strong. I am moving on and have gone on a date with a friend from work and we have just been really cool with each other. I don't see anything out of it other than we are making a really nice connection and it's awesome to have someone there.

I guess all I can say is from what I am going through at the moment. Who knows.maybe you and I will be back together with the ones we love. Life is kinda funny that way. But at the same time just try to make friends with her. I mean you liked her for more than sex,right? It might take some time for her to see that she was wrong for leaving but seriously,if you want it badly she will always be your friend and always have your back and support you and in the long run that is what is important in life. Life is too precious to argue and be in a bad relationship or bad spot. Love her for who she is and what she wants in her own life and if it's meant to be don't rush it...just let it happen.

Very true...you "sound" younger. By 30 you're supposed to be done messing with the "crazy girls" and find a nice stable one (same goes for the ladies and "crazy boys").

I'm 33(turning 34 in May)and I still like to think that I am very young at heart. I look at it this way:I collect toys,I collect records,at punk/hardcore shows I'm still the first one to stage dive and go crazy,etc,etc.

All that matters is it's not how old you are but more how old you feel.

For some real advice, let her go, bang out a few club skeezes so you don't get depressed being careful of course, then after you should be way confident and ready to bring your A game up on other more respectible beezys. Besides with myspace nowadays you can practically have girls delivered, I wouldn't stress on it. Other than you might have to divert some of your toy funds into jumping back into the field, thats kind of a bust. This is why I say even when you aren't single you still got to keep your style and everything else up to par, that way your chick always has her eye on you and knows so do other girls and it makes them scared to leave you because they know you have options. Supply and demand.

Don't be friends with her, thats just stupid and makes you look pathetic. I kick it with the girl that is now bangin other dudes cuz I wasn't good enough, pshhhh. Sensitivity is for girls, this isn't a romantic comedy so you can't really be friends. I still hook up with my ex, only because I hate her BF though, but I wouldn't really say we are friends even though she calls sometimes or whatever. Heres my other ex too, we are kind of friends, but we started dating while she was still married so I never really considered it a "real" relationship if that makes sense, plus she was 38 when I started dating her, she was a year older than my mom.




So basically you will be able to find another girl, they are a dime a dozen, obviously your girl doesn't realize how much you are worth to her, sometimes they don't until you are COMPLETELY out of their lives, don't let them benefit having you around still and letting them feel validated. Let them hangout with some losers, do your own shit, then they will call like oh I miss you and you can be like yeah I am over it, its not a big deal anymore my life rocks and I have a new hottie. Peace. Its a great feeling.

Final note, this is advice from a 23 year old that never wants to be married all my gf's I date for a year or more but long term is not my deal so if you want to marry your girl, don't follow this advice.

LOL collin you always make me laugh, I appreciate it. I am a sensitive 90's guy ten years behind the times, so I'm not sure if our lifestyles have too much crossover, but your perspective on things is, at the very least, highly entertaining.

I don't know what makes a relationship good; it's different for every single relationship.

All I know is if you want to get anywhere with relationships, they're not built on banging your way up to "respectable beezy's" nor through capitalizing on jealousy or making sure you're not looking pathetic. If you do, they're gonna be vain, shallow and completely fake.

I didn't say work your way up, I said to do it to keep from getting depressed, for sure if you can start at the top by all means jump into another quality relationship, but most people who are in a relationship don't really have that lined up.

Why would you want to see dudes eye a chick you used to care about? Screw that! Gene Simmons for example never has married, he seems happy to me. Back in the day my grandma used to date around in the 50's obviously back then they weren't permiscuous but she met my grandpa because she wasn't going steady with anyone and they have been together 31 years.
