If there was an ignore feature the new SB misogynists, rape fetishists and hate mongers would absolutely be on it.
As it is I try to just skip their posts and check in less.
I want to enjoy reading about toys and instead I just end up bummed out here these days.

Nicely done, Missy.
Like plover and KJB, I tend to stay totally uninvolved in what I consider nonsense threads. I like having an OT section, and lord knows I've posted some vents here- but when a thread makes my bullshit detector squawk (be it pointless arguing/gang-up/misogynist crap/just plain dumb juvenilia, etc etc), I pretend it's not even there...but at some point, those of us who want to keep this place inviting and fun for all have to put our two cents in. The things named by Missy, yeah, they absolutely don't belong on this board at all. There was greater mod vigilance about it in the past (Ramos), and, tho I ceratinly appreciate that all the mods are quite busy, I think that needs to be stepped up again- at least for now. It doesn't take long for crap to permeate a board and shoot the whole atmosphere (and rep) to shit.
scottygee has started a thread on adding an ignore feature; I think that might help things...I've never experienced this feature on a board before (never had to, thankfully) but I guess the hope is that, ignored enough, posters of crap will eventually clean up their acts or go away...but couldn't it also just lead to a parallel skullbrain universe, where crap-posters are allowed to exist together unseen by the rest of us, sort of parasitically? I don't like the idea of that, either...

Collin Shots wrote: Okay. every girl I have posted a picture of is someone I have cared about and still do and dated for a long time if that is indeed the case, it's pretty unbelievable the way you talk about some of them. just sayin. Collin Shots wrote: So yeah consider what I said some of the stories, nothing to take to heart and nothing saying true feelings it was for a laugh for someone going through a hard time. Again not trying to be confrontational at all or whatever and I unlike some people never turn anything into a personal attack which I get a lot for a stupid opinion that is simply that, if you don't like it laugh, think I am an idiot or whatever don't call me out on it though or make it personal, thats not neccessary really if you don't like what I say don't read it I could care less, I just don't want to read whining or call outs on it. I have had more love here than hate and been threatened to be sued as well and now am being told I hate women and basically the club skeezes thing I was referring back to what you said, but whatever. Most find it humorous but sorry I will really cut back on it as I can totally see how it comes accross as being offensive and like I said I really am sorry about it I never wanted to start any drama on this board or have anyone dislike me for my opinions, I respect everyones though, even if I disagree and I don't turn stuff into a fuck you personal attack, I still really like HMS and Roger even though we have gone at it, its nothing personal, its opinions, don't make it into something more than that. thanks.
I think the reason she called you (and others) out is that if she just sat back and laughed and thought you were an idiot as you suggested, that behavior would still be allowed to continue. I know for a fact there have been instances before where she has bitten her tongue about things as not to cause problems and just let them slide. but I think everyone knows what it feels like to reach that point where enough is enough. if you don't stand up for what you believe in and say something if you don't agree with what is going on then you will continue to be subjected to that same behavior.
she publicly voiced her concerns about some comments she feels are inappropriate/offensive. by doing so she caused people to look at the issue itself and make an informed personal decision on whether or not they feel the same way. she used specific names and instances as examples, which you may feel is unnecessary, but it allowed everyone to know exactly what she was referring to. there was obviously some anger behind her statement, but if anything that is built up from the route you suggests she follows where she just laughs it off. that doesn't solve anything and only leads to further instances where she has to deal with it.
no one likes to be called out, but then my advice to you would be realize this is a public place. use the same discretion that you would in public. you wouldn't talk about some of this stuff or use some of those terms out at a restaurant where everyone could hear you or with people you just met (or I don't know, maybe you would?). it's easy to get caught up in thinking that you're only speaking to your friends here . I do it too. as missy pointed out this place used to be much more intimate and a lot of us were able to have a good "feel" for everyone here, whether we knew them personally or not. it's not like that anymore and I think many of the older users are still getting used to the fact that there are tons of people here now. I've had to curb my behavior too. I think there are lots of comments I was once able to make and have everyone realize that I was joking that I now can't necessarily just blurt out because not everyone knows my personality enough to "get it". it's pretty much common sense (or should be) that the same things that might fly with your close friends don't necessarily with people you don't know that well.
it's all about discretion. neither missy or myself wants this board to necessarily be this overly PC pansy uber-safe zone where you have to walk on eggshells about everything you say. that's not fun either and at times we've both criticized this place for being overly sensitive. we both have crude, sharp senses of humor at times. but it's about learning when that will be viewed as appropriate and meant as a joke or viewed as offensive because it was out of line/too over the top or even worse, meant in a serious context.
it amazes me sometimes how some people around here take certain racist/sexist/homophobic terms and the fact that they may actually really honestly offend some people so lightly, but then throw a giant fucking temper tantrum and cause a giant shit storm when they miss out on a toy release.
that's ass backwards if you ask me

I love it when the board self moderates.
Everyone needs to take note: the majority of people on this board do not approve of this type of behavior. Please act accordingly.
Thanks Missy.

Skylar that was very well put, and obviously in retrospect I can see how folks not knowing me well might translate to my original comment being very misogynistic, if not read with the level of irony I meant to imbue it with. I'm not the kind of guy who's all like "bitches this" "hos that" left and right, but, you could get that impression. I do apologize again for upsetting folks, wasn't intended. And if what I said was the straw that broke the camel's back , and then other people's comments afterwords just added to it, well, I can see why it was taken so seriously -- not because of the thread in and of itself, but what it reinforced. Mea culpa!

No wonder Nicky and Collin have girl problems, they express themselves like cheeseball goons. In the years prior to their arrival, not one single skullbrain nerd has reached the creep status they have by posting their dysfunctional behavior with the opposite sex...this is a first.
Congratulations boys. Even to nerds you look like dorks.

I think you take things a leeeeetle too seriously, but hey, to each their own. You have absolutely no clue as to the dynamics of my interpersonal affairs with members of the opposite sex. But if you feel you can read that much into a two sentence rant which was intended to be a bit of an exaggerated vent, well, I think you're probably very surface-level kind of person who always judges a book by their cover, so nyah nyah.

Nicky, man....you didn't give us much to work with. All we can go by is what you post, and if that's your "rant/vent", the response ain't gonna be good. Maybe a bbs isn't a goodplace for meltdowns (regardless of whether it was real or jokes), since people WILL comment on what you post.

I actually don't have girl problems. I have never even been single for longer than a month or two since I was 15.
Like I stated anything that she said was offensive to her was basically other stuff already said, one of the things she was supposedly really offended by was something she practically said.
I already apologized for it, I wasn't trying to show off giant boobs as accused, sorry the chick was a playmate, can't really hide those. Anything I posted was meant to be humurous and funny for a guy, didn't realize anyone that didn't like the title crazy chicks would bother reading further into it, didn't mean to alienate people or make them uncomfortable.

Well, he does know how to delete.
You should have seen what was at the end of that post before he edited it.
Some people never learn.

I read that horseshoe. We can now add HERB status on top of Dork Status. But then again, he has gelled hair, so what do you expect?

I think I was apologizing, is that not allowed here either please let me know.
Yes I deleted something at the end, its really annoying having people that don't even know me base something on a post that was supposed to be humorous to another guy, a lot of you talk out here against me on a lot of stuff, not worried about that I probably wouldn't like you in reality, I don't speak out about it though.
I don't actually put gel in my hair, its a fiber, one pic is from djing vegas and the other the Ring 2 premiere if you are referring to myspace. I wear a hat 99% of the time. Sorry I have to look presentable at times.
You already have talked shit before, go make some cliche music vid and cool off buddy.

I figured since we didn't work out on here I'd try to start fresh. I don't hold grudges or anything, plus I wanted to get some style tips from your pics.

Mr Cornbluth has produced a video for Cattle Decapitation! Can't argue with that.

I think it's so ridiculous that you keep pushing the issue that you were trying to make "another guy" laugh. you assume that all "guys" like "guy stuff" and "chicks" and all this macho shit. you sound like a bad stand up comedian - "guys are like this, chicks are like this"
"girls are sensitive and stupid, guys like pussy!"
maybe no one ever told you but not all guys think girls with fake hair and fake tits that are covered in so much bronzer that they look like a fucking Academy Award are hot
you live in L.A. and obviously completely buy into the fucking scene there with the "hot" people and pornstars and all that shit. and you have to look presentable.
I live near Philly where Travel and Leisure magazine just named us the least attractive, least stylish, least active, least worldly, and least friendly. you're hot and we're not and we fucking hate you for it. get used to it.
and no, I'm not worried that you wouldn't like me in reality
