Are you playing on a PS3?
I know the 360 gets them on Tuesdays, and yes, this week's release is an Oasis pack.
I downloaded Iron Lung and Buddy Holly when they were released.

Yeah if you're playing on PS3 the songs are available on Thursdays.
I have Rock Band for the 360
What other games do you have for the PS3? I've been playing COD4 a lot lately.

How does Rock Band compare with Guitar Hero?
I have a PS2 with all the Heroes...

I don't have GH3. I'm still waiting...
My friend has both and he plays on Expert. He says if he's gonna play for the fun of it...with friends and such...Rock Band. If he wants more of a challenge, GH. He likes the feel of playing the notes on RB vs GH which kinda makes you work more (ergo, not as fun). My only basis for comparison is GH1-2 and 80's PS2 vs RB PS3. I can kinda understand where my friend is coming from. On GH, I don't play as many songs because after a while, you do get tired. On RB, I play at least an hour more, and this is without switching to drums or bass...or even singing. RB seems to be doing a pretty good job of having new songs almost a couple times a month. Granted that I did not download all the new songs, I'm still pretty happy that they are putting out a good amount of DLC. With GH3, I can see what they release for DLC on the PSN. Sure there's a couple of songs I'd like but overall, RB is doing well for me.

I hate that "Heroes" in the Bowie pack is a cover. It sounds really jarring since I'm really familiar with the original. I've been playing this over at some friends house and am seeking out a PS3 pretty much solely for this game and whatever the folks that made ICO put out next.

I downloaded the Oasis pack today and it's fucking amazing.
I'm so glad none of these songs are covers, they wouldn't do it justice.
You PS3 guys will have to wait until Thursday to play them though.
We should make a list of XBL and PSN ID's.
I know Joe plays on XBL, I've played Skate with him a few times.

Oasis pack is a guaranteed download for me, we have it here at work so the whole company plays. Rock band is fun but I'm assuming there are others who are dying from playing "Say it ain't so" eleventy bajillion times.

Is it Thursday yet???
The Bowie songs are really not that good...as far as them being covers go. I was really happy to see Heroes but the happiness faded when I started to play it. I do wish Harmonix would release more songs from some of the bands that are already in the game. As much as I don't like the singer for the Killers, their song is pretty fun to play on all instruments.

Picked up the pack last night along with Interstate Love Song. I gotta try the songs on the bass and the drums.
