Post mecha machine rockbat and blazer
Image these two are probably not the most popular of the mecha machine line ( that would be mecha godzilla ) but they are great toys in there own right . both of these are missle fire as are all in the mecha machine line . the goofyness of rockbat is what appeals to me about this toy and the robot design of blazer is awsome . rockbat is mostly made of vinyl and plastic while the blazer is a thin plastic that if you droped it from a table height it just might explode .very intricate toys for thier time .

wow, that's stinking awesome!

Does the top part of Rockbat's head shoot off or come off?

How would one, such as I, start to look up more info on these and others in this series?

I've never been a huge fan of Rockbat, but this toy is definitely funktified. That Blazer, however, drives me wild! Something about a toy with as simple a gimmick as firing missiles that's just killer.

Are those days truly gone? Will we never see missile firing vinyls again?

I LOVE the Rockbat! That is my favorite version of that character. The shot of Warren's in SUPER #1 with the white backdrop sold me on it. Been looking for one for quite sometime. If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for yours? Also, could you post pics of the box.

wow, I didn't know that Rockbat was a TV show - Boken Rockbat! can't seem to find too much info on it outside of what was on ToyboxDX:

Quote:
BOHKEN ROCKBAT (Adventure! Rockbat)
3/31/1975 - 9/27/1975
[TV image] A bizarre action-comedy series about "Animal Country," a doppelganger of Earth populated by humanoid animals (actors in suits), Bohken Rockbat didn't feature a single human character. When the town of "Animal Forest" is threatened by the evil Doradanuki, Professor Zuku gets mad -- and builds the robotic duo of Rockbat and Blazer to kick ass and take names. In spite of his name, the silly and careless Rockbat looks like a rotund, masked housecat; his purely mechanical bro Blazer backs him up when things hit the fan. (Okay, I'm exaggerating. This was a kids' series, not COPS.) The relatively organic-looking Rockbat features a chest full of buttons that can be pressed to engage "super powers"; Blazer is one helluva cool-looking mechanical man that can fly through the air and transform into a car. There's a really sinister-looking "anti-Blazer" called Dank, too, but Bullmark never made any toys for him. Too bad.

and also found this:
