i've retracted a bid once.... one time a boardmember pm'ed me to tell me a figure was painted just like a very rare one, and it was sorta obvious. celga contacted the seller and they let me retract (only sellers can retract a bid apparently)

I cant understand how anyone could have made a mistake ?? LASH no offense as I know you're a swell guy, but I've seen your spelling - you really can't understand how this could happen when you make spelling errors on your own headers? I fucked up the Bemon market with my split-second-too-quick decimal error, and my Celga account along with it. It was like 4am, I was browsing through a haze, and jumped too quick...which is understandable considering the reaction some of us get when seeing one of the original 30 GID Bemons for sale. To think that this has never happened before would be a bit ignorant really, and aside from my own stupidity for not thinking straight, the seller can fuck off for listing it at $6000. So there you have it, a decimal error was made. Now all you fuckers have to pay 6 grand if you want an original GID Bemon. Which you won't. And neither will I. And possibly not Logang either.
Damn dude I didn't insult you so why go there. And there is a difference between placing a letter in the wrong spot and a number, the difference is 6,000.00 dollars.
But damn dude I see how it is.

I can't believe you guys need a currency convertor, just knock the last two zero's off the end and that's your price roughly. Good enough conversion anyway to prevent a 6k woopsie.

Physically speaking there isn't much difference.

What I find baffling here (well, at least one of the baffling thngs) is this - If the BIN price is 60,000, why does the YJA software even allow entry of bids higher than that? I would expect it to automatically adjust any higher bid down to the BIN price (or reject it), since it would always reflect a bidder error. On the 'Bay, you never enter any amount for a BIN, it's auto-set at the BIN price.

everybody makes mistakes.
if anything ive seen people make the same mistake bidding on ebay in english with dollars.
Let me say that a friends band called "forced forward"(i know i know) printed up some shirts for a tour. The singer had them printed without anyone else giving the ok. well they ended up with 100 shirts that said "forced foward"
sit happens.

I can believe both were mistakes. But it is funny. Not for the bidders I guess, but still. BOTH the same price no less, not even like 2 different huge amounts and both within a short period of time too. It's a very "NO WAY!" "WAY!" situation.
It'd be even funnier if it were for the EXACT same toy, like the seller was like "stupid American jerks pulling out, ah I'll re-list" than the same thing happens Waaah Waaaaaah.
Seems like it'll work out though at least. Just teaches us all, CHECK THEM DECIMALS!

The second $6000 Bemon now has a reduced BIN of $3800 USD (not counting fees), bargains galore. Someone jump on this.

I think he needs to be re-dubbed "Bemoan."

I'm all over this Bemon... wait no I'm not.
Mainly I wanted to bump this thread so noone makes another mistake on this thing. At 5 AM if someone is groggy enough it could happen again (although its unlikely).
