I was just gonna start a thread about this. I'm pretty stoked. As tough as it was to wait so long for the new season to start, I think this is way better than the 'two episodes, then a week or two without an episode' way the third season played out.
Lost is best on DVD, it really flows well without weeks between episodes.

oh, yeah... last night's replay of season 3's last episode was annoying with the pop-up facts...
The one thing that I wondered about... the Jack flashbacks were in the future, but he makes reference to that doctor to go upstairs and see if his dad is drunker than he is... what was the deal with that if his dad is dead?

I would say sawyer over walt. When Jack asks Kate about the funeral, she says with a bit of disgust "why would I go" or something like that. That reaction wouldn't be warranted for Walt...
That pop-up shit said people think the obituary was for a man from New York... I don't know what the evidence is for that.
Maybe it's Michael who was from NY... or Ben who'd be the other character who'd elicit kate's response.

I read about this flashforward in an article... I can't remember if it was the writer or Matthew Fox but one of them was talking about how he knew people that had lost loved ones and how hard it was to let go. He said he knew people that would talk about the dead as if they were still alive in the present. So that's what that is about.

WOOT! Can't wait!

Yes it is. We watched seasons 1 & 2 on DVD and it was tough to watch season 3 on TV. I would love to wait for season 4 to come out on DVD, but there's no way I can be that patient and hope not to hear anything about the show for however many months.

Does no one else find the show impossible to watch at this point? Season 1 and 2 were gold but it's gone down hill big time!

the magic box and the premier of lost...

when i heard him say that and realized it was a fastforward thingy, i started wondering if he was able to bring his dad back the way john locke brought his dad back. you know, the whole "magical box" thing that ben was talking about.
*spoilers below.....possibly....*
i watched the season premier and still love how crazy and unexpected the twists are! and did anyone watch that lame eli stone show? it played in the background here. anyways, during a comercial break they had one of the fake oceanic comercials that broke way to some static halfway through and clipped to this guy saying that they found the wreckage. and they showed clips of the plane under water like it had been said to have crashed off the coast of california(?) towards the end of season 3....it was worth sitting through that lame ol' stone show to see it!

Last night wasn't bad. I was expecting a 2 hour episode by the way that the ad's had hyped it, but yet another one hour recap show followed by an hour episode.
I missed the Eli Stone thing and the Oceanic ad.

I presume whomever died was one of the Oceanic 6 as well.

I don't have sound on my work computer, so I missed a whole lot of content, but the Eli Stone Oceanic thing was a faux-mercial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DEuzx6xeFLk
This contained a link to http://www.flyoceanicair.com, which contained a link to http://www.find815.com
Gonna have to check all this out when I get home and can hear what is going on!
Great episode last night, as usual, opening up more questions than answering them!

I say its walt in the coffin, look at how short it is.
Also, the Oceanic six must be the onlyones who made it back, but does that mean everyone else is dead? Are there still people on the island who refused to leave?

there are people definitely still on the island. It was spoken of once when the man from "oceanic" grilled hurley about it. Also when jack came by to make sure hurley wasnt going to tell.
I dont think its walt. I think that would be too easy. Im going with it being ben in the coffin.

 Re: Lost season 4 tonight
anyone still watch this show? Personally, I'm still really into it... and it's one of the few shows I keep up on. Anyone know if this is the last season? I can't imagine how the show goes on for next next week's season finale.

 Re: Lost season 4 tonight
I still watch it religiously.... never missed an episode. Despite some disgruntle public opinions, I still love it. I can barely put the show together since there are twists and turns every episode, but I think its a good thing. Fun TV with a huge story line to unravel.
I heard rumors that there is a season or two left and that is it.

 Re: Lost season 4 tonight
There's supposed to be a 5th and 6th season and the series ends in 2010

 Re: Lost season 4 tonight
wow. two more seasons... i'm assuming they will get into the events after the island to reveal more answers (and i guess they can always have more flashbacks and going forward). but yeah... i still do get confused alot. like i totally forgot that claire was jack's sister. I don't even remember when jack's appendix got removed.

 Re: Lost season 4 tonight
the.redchicken wrote: There's supposed to be a 5th and 6th season and the series ends in 2010 Yes, with an allegedly "shocking" conclusion, at least according to the producers. I'm way behind y'all ... about mid-way through Season Three (buying them from iTunes.) What a totally addicting series. I'll probably buy the DVDs later for the extras. The Locke character is fascinating. For much of the first season, it seemed that the audience was being teased into thinking that he might be "evil" or one of what turned out to be "the others." His back-story makes it seem like he would have been a much less likable person before the crash, which not only healed his legs, but seems to have made him a much wiser, if more complex man. I agree that it's nice not to have to wait a whole week between episodes. Once I catch up, that's how it'll be, which is fine. Good to know that there's SOMETHING on TV that doesn't make you feel like a complete idiot. Someone should revive the Battlestar Galactica thread. That show's final season is in total hyperdrive. Everyone's going nuts and ACTING their hearts out LOL.

I wish that could have worked as a spolier, but unfortunately I already saw something at Wikipedia. (Not looking again until I catch up!) Poor junkie Hobbit dude. Oh well. His band totally sucked, he was obnoxious with women, and there is a price to pay for such sins. I want more of that Cloverfield smoke monster thingy.
