Here's the top of my bookshelf, not ideal but....whatever. It's how I got it, I actually want to get a better set up.
I don't find dusting once a weekend a problem, not much build up by than and usually a little blast of air from some canned air is all I need to do the job.
DARGH!

nice to see somebody groovin on the viewmaster, ed! i misplaced my box full of slides somewhere, so i havent been able to enjoy it lately. michael jackson's thriller never gets old in 3-d!
i keep all my toys in an open air setup. it might not be ideal for preserving them, but i pick them up and move them around a lot, have battles, etc. there is some warp zone in my apartment that deposits all the dust from the rest of the universe into my place, but i dont really mind the dusting. it gives me an excuse to pick up my toys, goof off, and re-arrange.

Thanks Josh! We have a lot of fun stuff lurking around the bookcases, I'm pretty sure the viewmaster has a Disneyland reel in it right now, and we have a few others kicking around. Fun stuff for sure!

A got cheap shelves b/c I spend all my dough on toys:
These above are cheap prefinished shelves from Ikea. They have predrilled holes & screw directly into the wall. One minute installation (Two minutes with a level )
My deepest shelf is an unpainted, mahogany blank for a bi-fold. About 6'-10" long by 12" deep (You can get em 14" & 18", too). They are supported by unpainted, wood knee brace supports from Ikea

Not a shelf per se, but serves the same purpose. My toys are on the mantle of the fireplace (non-operational) in my bedroom.

I used to own that very same Kenwood reciever and dual tape deck... looks the same at least...?
just pawned them off a while back since making tapes just ain't what it used to be...
plus now I play all my tunes on the old laptop anyway and I must add that Traktor 3 totally fucking rules...!!!
there's nothing like having four turntables going at once okay people...

Great pics, but this one is my favourite. The display case with the shoplifters sign and that framed picture of Walder!

Thanks for the compliments, all. It was a damned cool space to kick back in, that is true. Many a glass was raised there.
Alas, the room and lifestyle is no more as I had to move and am presently only a squatter in another's space. Had to sell off some of my stuff and most of the rest has been in storage for a year and a half with no present end in sight.
Can't wait to have another room someday. Hopefully.

You're more than welcome to trek it down south where it will be given a good home.

That's an original Brisko, if that means anything to ya. A badge of honor for me.
