Isn't "Mutant Evil" and "Republican Candidate" in the same sentence a redundancy?

if you don't vote you have no right to complain about the country's situation in my opinion.

i'll be voting after work tonight...and polls are open until 8 PM here so the work thing is no excuse. unless of course you work all night and then it might be.

A friend of mine just called me. She was all excited to cast her vote for Romney this morning, and then found out she was registered as a Democrat. Whoops.

She asked I was planning on coming down and voting, because even if you're registered as an independent you can throw your vote in for one party or the other. (Hint, hint hint.)

I told her no thanks. Sorry, Mitt.

So did she think that she was registered as a republican, or did she think that Romney was a democrat? Either way, based on her political savvy, it sounds like it might be better that she isn't voting...

I think she thought she was unregistered with either party, but I will check later. She mainly wanted to vote for him because he's a Mormon, like she is.

I'd think more people will vote AGAINST him for that, which is still voting based on religion.

I think that there's a lot of that at work in this primary. People voting for Hillary because she's a woman, people voting for Obama because he's black, etc.

I can't see myself voting for a candidate simply because he/she is an atheist.

BTW, I love that picture of Hillary, it looks like she's playing the "let's see how many grapes I can shove in my mouth" game.

I agree with that and think THAT'S stupid too.

Now skin color or gender - those are fine things to base your decision on.

(Though I am excited that we're at the point where both a black man and a woman are being taken seriously as presidential candidates.)

I can't see us having the chance to do this for a viable candidate in our lifetime.

although i live in New Jersey, I"m still registered in PA---so no Super Tuesday for me.

besides which, its Wednesday.

However, my favorite band (The Mountain Goats) wrote a song this week for Super Tuesday for NPR which you can hear here: Check that first verse. haha.

http://weekendamerica.publicradio.org/d ... /mtngoats/

We asked the Mountain Goats to write a song about Super Tuesday. And they did!

"Down to the Ark"

The candidates met up in North Dakota
And they donned their black robes there in the chapel hall
They said a brief invocation to their cloven-hoofed prince
And they signed their names in blood on the vestry wall

In Christ you know there's neither high nor low
And the void will claim all creatures small or bright
Seal up the borders or let everybody in
In the order of the serpent, there'll be neither left nor right

And we pull down our blindfolds
And we reach out for the lever in the dark
Get a sticker for our shirts as we head into the sun
Proudly bearing the mark
Headed down to the ark

The applicants went down to Oklahoma
And they hired an accent coach to teach them the western twang
And several post-born babies learned the hard way:
Vampires only kiss you if they've sharpened up their fangs

And as Minnesota fell, so went Missouri
We met at VFWs in the snow
And we voted down the tax codes, and we voted down the war
Ao many names to choose from, just one way to go.
