Anyone going to Iron Maiden's 'Somewhere Back In Time' shows? I'm seeing them on the 19th in LA. Can't wait!

There may be more US dates added later, but just to be on the safe side (in case they do not play Chicago), I'm flying out to LA for the show.

The plane trips are quite pricey. I debated on one recently where they played a few dates in Scandanavia. You get a Maiden goody bag too

I saw a show on the original Somewhere in Time tour, back in 1986, and it was in-fucking-credible!

Hard to believe that, as big as they were then, they are even BIGGER now! I remember listening to Piece of Mind when it first came out, on my brand new (fake) walkman, whilst driving a tractor cutting hay in a field out in the middle of nowhere, very secluded, and just being totally blown away by the music...sort of a surreal experience, grand in the memory of my youth...

Enjoy the show, SmilingIdiot, and report back when you can!

Saw them around 2000 or 2001 at the Greek theatre in LA and they sounded amazing. Even better than they did in 1987. Great show.

i've also recently found myself strangely attracted to Bruce ...That short haircut has done him wonders. What a cutie.

i have not been on THE plane with iron maiden...

but i have been on A plane with iron maiden...

the last time i flew back to london from tokyo (nov 06'),,they were on the same virgin flight that i was on...

i clocked nico the drummer in the check-in queue & then they all became apparent..

i tried to muster up the confidence (i'm shy) to speak to steve harris,,who seemed to be arguing with his 20-something buxom rock'n'roll girlfriend,,when we were waiting at the flight gate..but it never happened..

of course,,they turned left & upstairs & i turned right when we finally boarded the plane,,such is the low-life of the economy traveller..

on that note,,in 1993 i rode economy with the entire wu tang clan from amsterdam to new york..i mustered up the energy to speak to rza (who was friendly enough) & they had just gotten off tour opening for ice cube

to make matters worse (or funnier),,,their posse of nine was sat in groups of three in different sections of the economy cabin...they were throwing stuff & causing a scene the entire flight...good times!!!
