 Open Submission for Fantagraphics Books Beasts! Hey there are a lot of monster lovers here and a ton of talented mofos as well. Fantagraphics has decided to do a open call to give ONE artist a page in the upcoming Beasts2 book. Here's the blog posts and in the comments is the list of monsters NOT to submit.

Submission date is March 1st and I don't have any monsters on deck so I'm sitting this one out. This was posted on Drawn.ca so its gonna be flooded with submissions but thought id throw down here.

That's cool....Thanks Abe 
I just read through what they want and don't want. It made me think of a lot of folklore and mythological characters that I know of that fit what they want and the book sounds like it will be very interesting. I'll have to find the first one to see what it's like and hope that I can get something done in time. It will be tough to get into the book considering that they're only looking for 1 more artist, but as Wayne Gretzky said..."You miss 100% of the shots you don't take."

I was kind of suprised how inventive the submissions were, I was kind of expecting... dragon, werewolf, zombie, frankenstein, mummy, vampire, etc etc.
I even caught a few Dungeons and Dragons swipes in there.
