 Roy Scheider passes 2 Jaws films, 2010, Blue Thurder... and the film Sorcerer (fantastic film) is what I remember him for.
Sucks, a true icon of the 70s/80s actors I recall from my youth.

That really sucks. I Just watched "The Seven-Ups" the other day. Scheider had a list of great films as long as your arm; "All That Jazz", "Marathon Man" . . .

I just got the Seven Ups on DVD this past Thanksgiving. Watched it again this morning. Awesome film. I always thought Seven Ups was an extension of his character in French Connection. Both are named Buddy. Even though it isn't alot of the same actors appear in both films. Even Vito's wife is named Angie his G/f from French Connection. Roy will be sadly missed. New York crime drama's (my fave) from the 70's won't be the same for me anymore.
