but the tail looks to take up a lot of real estate...

That is something to consider I guess, I never really saw it as much of an issue seeing most toys I have have tails. That pic is off, the tail is not THAT big in real life.

Just to clarify, the Blueberry and Blackberry are actually clear painted on the inside, with additional spray on certain portions. I think the effect will be really neat.

I know Marnon does not appeal to everyone, but he really is a well-sculpted little beastie.

I'm thinking of ordering all three - but the blueberry is #1 in my book!

I'll take a comparison shot tonight. They are surprisingly small (with long tongues).

Marnon = 7.6" tall, about 7-8" wide if you go from tip to tongue

Inside? I gotta see this. I've got the original pink/gold release, but this sounds too intriguing. This will make for one incredible fig. Knowing this has me sold on the new Marnon. Gotta go with blueberry.

It's the trick that's used with clear/GID figures. They take a clear vinyl and slosh paint around on the inside, creating the effect of having a layer of clear vinyl above a colored surface.

EDIT: Some size comparison photos...

Well...not all clear/GID figures, right? I mean, the recent clear/GID Zagorans from Gargamel have had the phosphorescent powder infused into the clear or translucent vinyl.

Isn't that pretty much the same thing some manufacturers do with glitter (as opposed to sticking the glitter to the outer surface of the figure)?

Sorry, I meant clear figures with an inner GID 'layer,' not clear GID figures.

Ah...no need to apologize...

However...if you still feel like making amends, ya could spill what you know regarding this quote:
"For those of you waiting for more glowy stuff from DR, you may be in luck soon..."
