I've never seen the recent animated version of Star Wars, but this actually doesn't look too bad.

The original run was the best part of the new Star Wars stuff. Gendy ruled it! Though he is NOT involved with this new series, from what I understand, and I generally HATE CG vs. 2-D Animation, I'm still PUMPED!

while i prefer 2d animation as well, and agree gendy's version was very fun, i must say this looks pretty interesting.....
any ideas when/where this is gonna hit?

It's getting a theatrical release August 15, and Cartoon Network is going to be airing it.

for me anyway the worst part of cg is when they go for realism when rendering the characters. looks like that is not the case here though just for the most part carried on with the designs of the characters in the first animated clone wars.
i guess we will all see how it pans out though in august.

AFAIK, this show is being animated in Lucas' new Singapore facility.
