Post GID paint Question
Is there a GID paint out there suited for painting vinyl? I figured there would be a GID v-color but was surprised to see there wasn't. Or are the properties of GID too unreliable to be made in to an airbrush color?

thanks,

Phil

**EDIT**

Would it work mixing glow in the dark powder into v-color clear paint? Has anyone tried that?

thanks.

Phil

It would work, but you'd have to hand brush it on as it would clog an airbrush.

I've tried some company's GID paint... it'll work in an airbrush, but like Koji said, it can clog it. The GID particulate is kinda grainy, so it'll probably leave a kind of rough surface to your vinyl...

Just be sure to flush out your brush after you use it...

I'm working on a couple of GID painted ones that I'm airbrushing. It is working, but is a big pain in the butt to clean after. The GID powder is a bit to thick for the airbrush to work nicely with.
I made the paint myself by mixing the glow powder with the V-Color.
I'll post pics once finished.

You may want to try "GLOWZ" in a 6oz spray can made by Krylon, product #3150.
I have used it on several customs and have been very pleased with it.
Its a bit pricey but its a 1000 times better than painting with a brush and it wont clog up on ya.
