 hey ya'll
The idea of a Stardust colorway is a daydream at this point (moon-age daydream?). I did mention it to them, but said I'd figure out a way to do it in just a few colors... and that's if they agree to do it. I definitely want to do something with hot pink and black, and would also love to at least get the lightning bolt on the face... but we'll see. I only have a couple of these myself to experiment with, including the one I need to leave clear for my history's sake. Rest assured, whatever we end up doing for April will be cool, and I would bet there'll be something different for SDCC 08. Concerning Pickleloaf's question, I may do a custom like this, but to make it interesting, I might use the other Ziggy look:
But please, everyone be patient! I don't know how soon I'll do that. Anyone out there who's still waiting for custom mini's from me, they will be shipped this week--the show really held me back a bit, I apologize for the delay.
Kick ass! And thanks for all the props-- it was a great show and Grass Hut is my family.
Oh-- hey Arbito-- the money from your figure goes to you, man, not me!

 oh, and...
The KISS custom idea has merit, but they kind of sicken me now, really milked the soul out of that concept. Way to go, Gene! Their first few albums are still okay though.

i'm in that boat myself
i love the kiss image, and i was planning a set of suited figures painted like the 'dressed to kill' album cover, but man gene simmons and all the money hoarding and whoring is just such a turn off. like it is almost embarrassing to be any kind of kiss fan anymore

See, here's how I see Gene. A huge joke on mankind. He takes himself SO seriously, but look at him! He's Gene Simmons LOL! So since I can laugh AT him, I have no problem WITH him.
The money-hungry attitude is part of the cartoon and makes me like him, it's just a cartoon or joke now to me.
Ace rules forever though, he's my fav. member!

Hey folks - just wondering if anyone knows whether a wider release of OJO Rojo is planned? Would really love to get my hands on a version of this guy. Is the April release limited in nature to the Grass Hut thing?

The April release will be at Thrashout in Japan.

Ohhhh...well that would seem to make for an even harder to get release for folks in the US. Rats! Guess I got to hope for more OJO in the US.

I'm only guessing there will be a wider release after the show in April..I wouldn't be suprised if Martin had a SDCC exclusive or at least some hand-paints to offer.
It's resting mainly on the Gargamel schedule but I would imagine the overwhelming positive response to the Ojo is only going to help move him up the calendar for sure.
One of the best sculpts by far this year...can't wait for the painted version to drop!

Yeah - I hope that is true. The only Martin figure I currently have is a [expletive deleted], but it's by far my favorite. The detail is great and IMO a great representation of Martin's work on that platform.
