Post Koji Harmon Bemon
I'm not much of a customs guy but the Bemon paints weren't really doing it for me. I asked the awesome Koji to paint me one inspired by the old IKB hedorahs and he totally nailed it IMO. It looks like it would be right at home on the shelf of a 1970's Japanese toy store and I love it!

WOW  Best. Bemon. Ever. Seriously, I love this. The eyes are just perfect; two menacing orbs shining through black sockets. Great shade of blue on the body.

Smog, Bemon and Hedo look GREAT together! Killer shot! Congrats!

 I should have specified factory painted Bemons. I love the handpained but I don't expect to ever get one.

Damn -- This is so simple, in a good way. It's perfect. Definitely some of Koji's best work.

awesome. Koji's custom made you break your "no custom" rule? I love it.

My thoughts exactly. Never saw a Bemon that I liked, but this actually looks pretty cool to me.

have mixed feelings when seeing this.
cant see "the need" to do a custom bemon
when there are handpainted one off bemons = customs if u want.
hoping u took a factory painted one. clear, mixed parts
or handpainted would be a crime imo.

besides it really looks nice!

Yeah, if you want TO PAY OUT THE ASS!

I'm hoping it was a clear unpainted used, I dunno though. I'm not into clear unpainted much SO I would have NO problem getting one and having a master like Koji slap some paint on it.

Very cool, and it fits real well with your theme. Awesome custom.

Great looking Bemon Grats!

I think there's only 15 per colour on the clears so they're all fairly scarce. My pink clear has no number on the header so maybe there's 100 though.

I'm hoping a patchwork was used but in any event it looks terrific.

exactly. not to mention the whole style of this and the lava custom bemon, is quite different than any factory or HP. Its like saying " is there a need to do custom pirate because you can buy a HP from pushead".

I think Koji should make a full run of these, they would sell so fast, I know I would pick one up for sure.

I get what he means about the painted custom thing though, I buy all my Van Gogh's original, sure it costs a bit more but still.

As for bemons I think they have this way to custom thing going on, which is why I like production runs. Its cool and all but some production stuff would be nice, paying 3 grand for a piece isn't justifiable to me if there are so many comparable pieces out there as in one offs. The good thing is you buy what you like the negative is that you can't really do that.

Are there really only 15 of each clear?

I wish Kyoka Ikeda would sculpt one and release a Gargamel version of mosugon 2 painted by Koji.. Isn't that the only IKB left that has not been remade? I love the original IKB stuff but Kyoka's style is from another world.

I would LOVE that. Especially a mini.

Anyway, Koji used one of his own bemons so I don't know which one it was.

I don't usually care for Bemon either, but this paint ap wins me over. The different colors on the back rock.
