I stayed in a hotel in West Hollywood in 2004; some sort of kiddie star-search thing was taking place in their convention rooms at the time. From a balcony over the lobby, I watched a total Momgali (Svenmommi?) monster have a screeching meltdown on her little girl (couldn't have been more than 7 years old) for not living up to some show-pony expectation. Sickening. Worst part was the doormat husband/father standing idly by, letting it happen.

You know what surprised me yesterday morning? The way our local news prioritizes things.
They mentioned Britney's problems before the freakin' fund cuts from the states education system! 4 Billion will be cut next year!
