I am really glad I asked, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. I tried convincing mark a while back that madball mantis' were cool.

They are an acquired taste . . . these and the OG Obake were the last of the SB sculpts that rung my bell, but once you get hold of 'em the scale and proportions compared to other pieces and the retro throwback detailing is kinda cool! GID filled clear with black and white accents . . .
I dunno, its definitely the heads that bother me, I'm just not a fan. And especially the left head bugs me. It looks too flat to me. Not round enough.
Ah well, theres plenty of other SB piece to choose from.

Oh I was a fan, I had the ball versions and the little action figure versions with the spring loaded heads. Hornhead, Locklips and Skullface were my favorites. I just don't dig that madmantis.

Is this going to be a large, 'distro network' release, or is this going to be limited?

Recieved mine today....HIGHLY RECOMMENDED on all fronts quality and design wise.
I like the fact that it is spray painted on some parts minimally, rubbed in paint just enough to accentuate the teeth, eyes and other parts of the faces.
Color is beautiful for a GID piece.
IMO, S Base hit it strong with this one.
