Oh, nice one! Death In June. Their military parka/mask combos and their Nazi SA brown shirt and ties always freaked me the hell out. Awesome music, though. I loved playing it for people who had never heard them. You get points.

I was lucky enough to see him/they play here in Austin twice over the last few years. Seeing Douglas play in full get up is freaking crazy!

Lucky stiff. I lived in Austin for many years, and plan on moving back once I get myself unstuck from here. I miss spontaneously going to badass shows like that. Where did they play, anyway??

 FAVORITE album cover!
pickleloaf wrote: haha was that ever considered cool?
well, it must have been somewhat cool, or fashionable, or whatever, since manowar used this style for pretty much every other album cover (those not show the band in minimal battle wear rocked a comic style drawing of a buffer in he-man threads). and, at least in my opinion, they are a pretty successful and excellent metal act!
as for whoever posted the pic of the new thom yorke cover, thumbs up yo! not only does the entire artwork spread kick ass, but the album is solid, an uncomfortable calm, actually.
