sumatra71, did you stop to think that this is a girl many of kinda know? The super7 crew works with her, we get most of our SB info through her. So I guess we are somewhat defensive when people objectify or lust over her, especially since she isn't here to take you to task herself.

Uh..........this post was really about toy stores in japan. One of the reasons I like this particular board (besides the kaiju) is that people here are (usualy) very nice to each other. Some of those other toy boards(I dont need to name names) out there are all about speaking smack. I think that we are all friends here and I dont blame anyone but lets please all stop being sensative, say sorry for anything any of us said that may have offeneded someone else and all be cool with each other again.

So if someone wants to post about there thoughts of golden age, tsukiji, or even nudy boy go ahead, but lets stop talking smack on my first thread in this section.

I liked Golden Age a LOT when it was in Ueno. I picked up some great Takara Diaclone and Microman stuff there. The shop was spacious, too.

The new (well, I guess it's a couple years old now...) Akihabara location is cramped, and the stock doesn't seem to rotate as much as it used to. I haven't bought anything there. Still, the location is in Tokyo's otaku heartland, so it's worth checking out.

Yah, but the crampyness is a bit much. The first time I went to Japan I thought it was all about Akihabara, but this time Im really starting to dig Shibuya toy stores much more.

Akihabara's rise is a pretty recent thing. Ueno used to be awesome (some great Star Wars shops). Shimokitazawa was a favorite of mine for a while. Still a nice area to walk around. Nakano was strong a while back. Still lots of shops, but I rarely buy stuff there (high prices)

Koenji is my favorite area these days. Great shops and a really nice vibe.
