That is a pretty cool piece. The details are definitely more pronounced on this pink one. Over time molds will fill in with bits and pieces of unpulled vinyl from what I hear, so this could very well be one of the first few prototypes ever made.

If you're going to strip the Bat first, please post (or PM to me) a pic after the stripping? I'm curious to see how the gloss on the Bat's clear vinyl will survive the acetone, especially on the parts that were painted.

And motor, you said 'take off the head and chest part' - As Ogan Bat's head and torso are all molded in one piece, only the arms and legs are easily swapped ... but then you've lost everything that's recognizably 'Batty' about him! At first glance, it looks like slicing the Bat's head off the torso would leave a neck opening too large for a Chaos head's flange to fit into neatly, but it might work. Let us know what you're planning?

And - Nice score akum6n! When I went to Mandarake that morning, your Chaos was still FS, but I just assumed it was the flesh and moved on without noticing the eye etc. Your attention to detail pays off big time ...

Its a cool figure for sure. There are a few pieces cast in this vinyl, and since the original Gang of Four have some interchangeability to make certain characters, there are also some complete figures out there too.

There is of course the Chaosman shown in the Mook, a Bigaro shown at the RxH show recently at S7, and a couple of Chaos figures like the one you picked up. This vinyl to me is a dead ringer for the Devilman tribute Evil's vinyl color. I've held them side by side, and its right on.

One can only imagine Mori having some extra vinly of this color left over in the Devilman run, and getting some additional RxH love out of it. As has been posted, the Chaosman was released as a lottery prize at WCC....along with a few other insanely cool figures.

I find the eye really curious. Although I know there have been various flesh protos released over time, I don't think Mori used the 'big eye' after the OG Chaos. So I wonder if this one predates MC-01...

It's quite possible, maybe give Mori a ring and see if you can find any details hehe

Agreed. Currently that metallic blue one is very easy to land for retail. I don't get it. It's spectacular and makes a great compliment to the earlier metallic red.
