I usually order Round Table's gourmet veggie pizza. Would probably be better if it was organic but is still really good for a pizza. It has like artichoke hearts, onions, mushrooms, peppers and a garlic sauce.

Peperoni, mushrooms and olives is my old standby. Feta and artichoke hearts are great, too.

I'm a traditionalist and prefer simple trad toppings without too much cheese. Usually pepperoni or some other Italian sausage, thin layer of tomato sauce.

However when indulgent or at work I have a weakness for some of those crazy Extreme Pizza toppings like the ones with BBQ sauce. My boss likes the "Indian" pizzas from Zante but I think he's crazy. Tumeric saffron and lamb korma are not pizza toppings.

I like pizza as it's served in Rome the best, but that's pretty hard to find in the USA.

My current two favorite pizzas have weird and even weirder toppings.
First is just plain ham and apple with some gorgonzola cheese.
Next is fish roe, mushrooms, crab meat, cheese.
I think there might be some other stuff.

fish roe, mushrooms, crab meat and cheese actually sounds pretty interesting. I'd try it. Is that you're own mix or did you find it at a pizza shop?

There's this Japanese tapa restaurant in Sunnyvale that serves it.
Place has some delicious food.
Noticed you're from SJ so you should stop by.
Place is called Gochi.

I've eaten pizza all over Italy and I know that that is what pizza is "supposed" to be like, but I'll take American pizza over traditional Italian any day. Not that I don't like Italian pizza, I just like the way we do it better. :)

I've also had pizza in a few places on the East Coast, inluding NYC, and I have to say Chicago definitely deserves bragging rights where pizza is concerned. No contest! Chicago style is much better. Heck, Round Table Pizza is better than any pizza I've ever had on the East Coast. Zachary's, anyone?
