That may be, but there are a couple of things that come in to play here. One, is to know your audience. If he'd spent a little time looking around, it's not really hard to pick up that he'd get this type of reception from some. Two, hang out a little and chat people up a bit before hawking your wares. Was the reception rough? Maybe. Unexpected? Shouldn't have been.
