collin, youre weirding me out a bit with the race commentary. unless there is some relevance to that that im missing, this thread is going to be locked.
i dont see how being asked about a favorite artist has anything to do with race.

As one of my co-workers said after reading this list "Wow...I'm really white." and he is white. Whatever...some people find it funny, others don't. That's just the way life is.

putting the quote into context certainly helps putting the commentary into perspective, thanks for that.
i dont find it very funny personally, but fair enough.

I think it only makes sense to those that are part of a superficial crowd and need to have prepared answers for questions so that they can be judged the way they want to be judged.
Why not just answer honestly about who your favorite musician (notice I didn't say "artist"...maybe that'll take this off on a tangent.) or actor is?

It came from all the discussions on here about bands or albums and actors where people were trying to one up eachother. My friend sent it to me after I was djing at the OC dj competition finals. It was supposed to be a SET of music to beat out other dj's and kids were coming up asking for requests, so he thought it was funny. Then there is always a group of people trying to one up eachother at shows when you finish djing going why didn't you play "insert super cool RFSO artist here". Its not supposed to be racist at all if anything its making fun of white people. I just felt like bringing something out of left field.
